Iceland isn't cheap, but I know Brian Shaw did a grocery shopping video about 2 years ago and it was about $2400/month at the time. $600 Costco trips.

Especially meat is expensive (even more than the rest), so that does not surprise me

Lamb and fish aren't too bad. Honestly worst part would be having to eat Islandic food

Sorry Iceland, most beautiful country I've ever seen, bar none. Absolutely love it there. Your food sucks though. The fact Hakarl wasn't the worst thing I had is bad enough, but honestly the worst part was the lack of variety

10/10 Country to visit. I'd recommend it to anyone. Incredibly friendly people, and again the most beautiful country I've ever seen

I remember that video. He constantly has like 10 pounds of bison at the ready lol

That's actually reasonable. My sister is crunchy as hell and only buys top organic brands and her monthly grocery bill with a family of 4 is like $3000-$4000 a month. Obviously they're well off financially but damn.

At that point, he might save money buying a butchered cow every month
