He only got beat by a kilo last month on the deadlift record, he'll hold it again soon

Maybe if he didn't immediately jumped to 515 back in May, he might still be the record holder. But yeah, you're right, hopefully he get it back again soon

What an incredible time for strength sports though. I was sure 505 would stand for a while and be the next big record to chase for years. That Flores was able to come in and pull 511 as a virtual unknown barely a year later is completely crazy

He "jumped" to 515 from 510. That extra 1% was too much..?

When you're lifting more than 500+ kg? Yes

That's also a strategy element in the competition. You have 3 attempts and you need to decide what weight you want to try. If 505 was enough to beat the competition, there was no point in rising higher.

I don’t think so. He’s pretty much at his absolute max, Raul Flores is just getting started and Colton hasn’t attempted a conventional deadlift at his weight yet, but I believe will soon enough.

Dude, wtf are you on about? Flores' deadlift was in the EXACT SAME competition with the EXACT SAME ruleset....

Flores did not pull his record under powerlifting rules. He pulled it in a competition with Thor with wearing a deadlift suit, and using figure of eight straps on the same type of bar Thor was using
