Primarily to make the best use of the army rule—at first glance, I’d say it’s Solar Watch, thanks to the +2 to movement—but I’d be interested to hear your thoughts.

I love aquilons to be honest, and they are so fun to make and they just look epic with giant shoulder pads!!!

After many hours of swearing I believe I am happy to call Trajann done. I don’t have the steadiness of hand to paint the energy effect on the axe blade so that’s the best I’m doing on it. I know I’m not going to win any contests but I’m still happy with the overall results. Just wanted to share.

Got my Termies and tank, now to assemble for the emperor!!!! (New to the golden boys, Custodes will be my 2nd army) Any tips with anything would be much appreciated “i.e. building & playing”

Went into a local game shop to pick up a 40k novel (Cold Covenant), and at $40, I opted to get the custodes codex as we do have a custodes army(10th edition I just used online rules sites)... they are nice books. And for the new price, while I wont be getting them all by any stretch, I can better justify them for all of our armies vs just my main ones. Even got lucky and found a complete unbuilt Toxicrine/Maleceptor kit in their used model section for $50... its been a good day!

But my sporaric codex purchase specifically got me thinking... Its not an unknown business model that you can lower prices and thereby increase sales enough to actually bring in more profit. Anyone else buy a new codex in 11th edition at $40 they didn't/wouldn't at last editions $60? I've often questioned GWs model prices in the same vain. I would buy far more models(even some just to build/paint) or try different armies, etc... IF they were cheaper. I know they just increased model pricing, so I dont think they are going this route. But if they do actually see better profit with the codexes being cheaper, maybe they move more that mindset to the models? Wishful thinking, I know...

First Custodes purchase was the Support battle group, only painted up the Telemon & Grav from that so far. Lots of gold to be done! Auric Champions was an eBay snipe.

Is it just me or do you guys also think that the new Terminators on 50mm bases look kinda odd? I know it’s probably the same size as the old resin ones but 50mm in my eyes looks pretty odd while Space Marine’s terminators are on the 40mm ones.

I like the kit overall tho, just that big ass base make it kinda goofy, no?

Just got my first box of custodes (aquilon terminators) and I'm trying to settle for a paint scheme for an entire host. I made 4 digital mock-ups so far, using a similar color palet. I'm wondering if they don't deviate too far in character from the standard gold and red scheme, to be. Which one looks best, and what are your thoughts?
