Aka the real story of Depp and Heard.

Edit: nice to see the tides turning. These comments used to get me downvotes and name-called to oblivion.

This is Amber Heard throwing the glass at Depp after he was abusive for months.

"Tell the world, that I, Johnny Depp, man, I'm a victim of domestic violence too."

The fact that this has been misrepresented to be her mocking him and saying that noone will believe him because he's a man is ridiculous.

She was saying that she's clearly the victim, he can go ahead and say that he's a victim too if he wants, but she has all the evidence so people will believe her.

Which... yeah, I don't blame her for thinking that.

It's going to be a decade before people can calm down enough to have serious conversations about that whole affair.

I don't really wanna argue about this whole thing. Now I'm seeing what you guys are putting down and you may be right. But I saw the majority of the US trial, and it looked really bad for Amber. They made a convincing case for her framing depp and faking bruises, calling TMZ. She was also caught lying under oath I believe a few times? One of which was saying she didn't write the op-ed, but then later on the stand admitting she did write it(because she was rushing to her own defense against vasquez).

Now lately it seems reddit has shifted and completely switched over to Amber's side.

Edit: Also I saw Gen V and they referenced the case in a very negative way for depp, which caught me by surprise

You're literally repeating the Johnny Depp PR spin.

Okay? Not on purpose? I was doing a quick rundown of the case. Are you accusing me of something? If this is their spin, it doesn't seem like a spin to me. This is what happened in the case.

I wish people would read about the UK trial instead of informing themselves through TikToks and thinking the absurd that happened in the USA trial is actually proof of anything against Amber. If they did, they would see how unfair they were towards that woman. She’s such a strong person because I’d have fallen off the face of the earth if what she went though had happened to me.

In particular the text messages from Johnny's assistant confirming that he abused her, which were allowed in the UK trial but excluded from the US trial for reasons I still don't understand.

Yep. Having gone through reactive abuse myself, my opinion on their situation was always, "I don't know who started it. But clearly it isn't good for either of them, and I think that's what we should focus on until we know more. If we ever know enough to even make that judgement."

Reactive abuse is such an awful cycle, because the primary abuser wants a reaction to warrant more abuse. And the retaliatory abuser is really only acting out of desperation. Like, I take responsibility for my actions now, and I feel shame for some of the things I did. But I also know and accept that I wasn't really given any other choice. It's what my abuser wanted, and the fact I recognized that at all and left is all I need to show that the person I was around him is not who I actually am, or who I ever wanted to be.

But who's who?

Depp is the abuser, Amber the victim who engaged in reactive abuse after years of being physically, emotionally and mentally tormented by Depp.
