Hi I have been maining bard for a few years now, gathering around 1,5mil maestry and currently sitting as D4, however I would like to actually climb over to master, and I can’t really pinpoint what are the true weaknesses of bard

I figured I should have a backup champion in case bard just doesn’t fit into the team comp

However… I feel like bard can be picked pretty much always, and whenever I lose it feels like it’s just my shortcomings, rather than feeling that ,,it would have gone better had I picked a different champion”

So I was wondering what are your thoughts about bard’s shortcomings and what other champion would you suggest to master just in case

a majority of Bard's skins are really beautifully detailed but most all of them fall into the cutesy, elaborate/pretty, or comical categories. Some look a bit more serious (Elderwood & Shan Hai) but they lack harsher or darker color schemes to really feel like a "serious" skin.

i'm surprised that Bard doesn't have a Cosmic, Dark Star, or Old God skin.

i get that Bard is not really a "serious" character with their animations, but we really don't know the lengths they won't go to achieve balance in the cosmos (i.e. the ends justify the means); like in the Mountain cinematic, Bard just comes in and takes the artifact away. they don't actually save the people in the village being slaughtered.

is there anyone else that feels the same?

what skin line would be cool to see Bard get a skin for? any that i missed?

I’ve played almost 200 games of Bard, and I have some glaring weaknesses I was hoping people would have some answers to. I’m in Plat 4 and here is my op.gg for context.

As a champ bard is known for his epic roams. But I find myself glued to botlane with the occasional roam to mid probably once a game when I have time in the first 15 minutes. I end up going top around one out of every five games or so. To me this seems to be very low. I have a few theories that I think may be leading to this.

1. I tend to trade very aggressively in early levels. This leads to me needing to base at around the same time as ADC. As a result I have very little time to go anywhere before a wave is crashing.
2. When we do get a crash and I am relatively healthy it feels like before I can get to river my adc is trading with the enemy under tower, regardless of circumstance. Even just getting wards down leaves my adc chuncked, but not backing. I feel responsible for not letting them die, which leads to bad decisions.
3. On the off chance the stars align and I have the ability and time, it is not the correct time to go to a lane. Either they just solo killed or got solo killed. Or drag is coming up. Or any number of reasons that would leave me as the only one in that lane.

I know that I’m missing something here that is leaving me as the victim of my own poor decision making. I’ve tried pinging my intentions, just leaving, and trying to base around timers, but there doesn’t seem to be a clean answer to me. 

How do you decide when it is appropriate to roam and when you need to be a babysitter?

I also realize that my KDA is terrible over the past 30 games. I’ve been intentionally trying to limit test now that I am feeling more mechanically confident. I think I’ve got a grasp and am reigning in the deaths right now.

I think my weakest link of playing bard is my ult usage. I either miss completely (need help on how to land them more), or I fuck up a team fight by stopping my teammates attacks. What situations to you guys use the ult in?

I just started playing bard recently (around 25 games in ranked) and I have a solid 35% winrate
on him. Maybe my build is troll (by no means am i good at the game. im just silver) but i just want to know what i could be doing better over all

I'm D3 and versus karma/lulu I actually tend to build serpents often.

Feel like it can have a big effect.

After 3.5 years stuck in Emrald i finally get diamond with 58% WR on Bard. I'm now ready to discover the true elo hell

haven't used spirit blossom bard in a while and used it for a game only to see that E and R both had black boxes on them is this a thing currently with any other bard skins or just this one?

We (me and Draven) lost the level 1 trade and got killed due to exhaust and he immediately tilted; it got to the point where I just abandoned him to try and help Darius (which worked, partly).

However, I was stuck with two of the worst late-game ADCs in the game, so the writing was already on the wall—not to mention the Hecarim, who was clearly a smurf (70%+ win rate).

Even though I participated in 70% of the kills, it wasn't enough to carry two anchors. Would you guys have dodged in that situation? If you play Bard, are there any allied ADC picks that would make you dodge?

Its a bard player and whenever he ults the song Legend by Tevvez plays and he does the pose
