Yeah. The game sucked.

But my God, a football game should not last 4 fucking hours

There was the delay but yeah these commercials are killing the game

I would rather see ads on the field if it meant less commercial breaks.

I'll tell you how that goes

ESPN: we're cutting game time down by putting ads on the field and keeping the action flowing

5 years later...

some bean counter at ESPN realizes they can make more money with ads on the field and longer breaks during the game

You'll get ads and more commercials, and like it.

The game was nearly 4 hours even counting from the time the game actually started. Counting from 3:30, it was more like 4.5!

Good thing they’re doing something about it!

…by allowing them the opportunity to get shown more 😑

Especially with the new rule that’s supposed to “shorten” games.

Shortens game clock but extended commercials somehow

Seriously. Football should be 2-2.5 hours barring overtime

Old people tell me it used to be 2-2.5 consistently.

It still is at the high school level

Real question is how much of it was actual game time vs commercials?

It's okay because the players are playing 5 less plays while we get longer commercial breaks

What if I told you there was another kind of football, no commercials at all. Would you be interested?
