I am in my junior year at A&M. I have watched our starting qb survive one game in 2021, two games in 2022, and three games in 2023. I just want to see how a season will go with ONE QB. I’m not saying we are a championship team with Weigman still playing, but man these past two games could’ve looked a lot different with a better QB.

Same for us too, and he's a 6th year senior!

Young one, my freshman year was 2014 right after Johnny left and I never saw a consistent QB in my time until Kellen Mond. Welcome to tradition.

I remember Kenny Trill being arrested on NG.

As a freshman in 2018, why does kellen mond have to be the best I'll ever have?

Kellen was a hero, most of us just couldn’t see it.

At some point, you have to wonder, though, is this bad luck or lousy protection? I mean, that kid had a hell of a game today, and the most impressive part was he survived mostly unharmed.

Lousy protection, 100%. We needed to dump Steve Addazio last year.

Let's not be too hasty, Jimbo just needs some time to get his guys.

And you know what the sad thing is? Max is on a fast track to be out for a seaon with a serious injury too due to the combo of bad protection, holding the ball flat-footed forever, and/or zero blindside pocket awareness. Man was perpendicular to the ground on 1/4 of his throws tonight. It would be impressive if it wasnt so sad.

It honestly sucks to have Calzada 2.0 but jimbo deserves all the hate anyway

I don't think any of us are wondering. It's lousy protection without a doubt

"Jimbo's supposed to be a QB whisperer haha durrr". I guess we're supposed to have a stable of QBs each year that could start anywhere

Yeah, but with that trend we'll be the team to watch in 2035!

Kellen Mond is the only sort of consistency we have had at QB since Johnny

2014: Kenny and Kyle Allen split

2015: Kyle Allen and Kyler split

2016: Trevor Knight until he got hurt, then Hubenak

2017: Starkel until he got hurt, then Mond

2018: Mond

2019: Mond

2020: Mond

2021: King for a game until he got hurt, then Calzada

2022: King / Max / Connor split

2023: Connor until he got hurt, back to Max

I want to die

Yeah I texted my pops this too. If A&M has QB1 this game probably looks a lot different

I'm convinced we win 'Bama and this one ... then again, I'm also convinced our coaching staff would find a way to screw it up.

In 2032 he’s gonna miss the bowl game
