Kicker arguably cost the game against the Buckeyes last year

I prayed for the return of a Yoon

We lost the game last year cause our OC called 3 pass plays when trying to run out the clock. We would have won if he just ran the damn ball

10 men on defense the last two plays didn’t help. Or the dropped INT…

TWO dropped INTs

But who’s counting 😂

I don’t give him too much shit for the first one (end the end zone, end of first half, drive resulted in a FG) but the one on the third to last play of the game was brutal - he had ten fingers on that ball.

I literally see it in my nightmares sometimes. And the sad thing is I'm not joking

In the words of Mike Elko “run the fucking ball”

Was at a SEC game and they had "Run the damn ball" on a hat. Wanted it instantly.

A lot of reasons we lost that game, but that kicker missing that FG did not help

Also, your coaches couldn't count to 11

And our safety couldn’t catch a cold. Shuler looks like a huge upgrade

Wouldn't have mattered if we just ran the damn ball. The game would have been over the minute your QB intentionally grounded the ball. No time outs left.

Also not fielding a full team on defense.

Every day on this earth I will miss Justin Yoon.

Justin Yoon was incredible. I wish he had a real shot at the NFL.

It’s really nice going from a Kyle Brindza in Shrader to a Justin Yoon in Jeter.

It’s been a while since I watched our FG unit come out and wasn’t shitting my pants

I used to say about Jon Doerer that he was the best kicker ND has ever had that I was never remotely confident would make a kick. Jeter looked pretty damn choice on his kicks this evening (though the last PAT scared me a touch)

I legit thought he missed the last one

Yeah fair actually both PATs were a little shaky but the FGs were drilled

Doerer was weird, because he looked like an unmitigated disaster in 2018 when Yoon got hurt, and then in 2019, he was Clutch with a capital C. Then in 2020, he was kind of just average.

Quite a turnaround for him, I suppose…

We love him already

Freeman clearly showed big confidence in him to send him out to put the game out of reach instead of punting or (IIRC, the statistical best option) going for it.

…well, still a turnaround for the Irish in that regard…

Having ten men on the field for the most critical defensive snap of the game didn’t help.

Nah, that game was lost on both the hands of DJ Brown and the coach's inability to count to 11.
