This is the same dude that was 16/2 and 1800+ yards in 8 games before this? I’m not buying it. Jimbo stole the team Weigman on his way out

This is gonna be the best defense he's gonna face all regular season, I'd say let Elko and Weigman get a few more games before making some proclamations

The defense had nothing to do with him being 5 yards off even on wide open checkdowns. There's either something wrong with him or he's just terrible.

I kinda wonder if he wasn't feeling great. He did puke his guess out after the TD.

That said, I wish they had just pulled him. If he can't pass, he's worthless. We have 2 QBs that are great runners behind him.

Something’s wrong with him. He was shredding defenses last season before his injury. This is like a totally different player than ‘23 Weigman.

Also, I thought that was some pretty shitty broadcasting ethics when they aired him zoomed in puking on the field. That was a weird choice.

They showed it to demonstrate that he was probably sick and playing through it, which tracks with his performance. My Dad and I were commenting that he looked exhausted throughout the 1st quarter. When they showed him puking, we felt validated. Bet he had Covid or a fever.

I remember Sports Illustrated had a similar feature picture of - I think - Tim Couch when he played for the Browns.

I just think it helps show the average person out there what these guys go through to compete and the willingness they have to try to help their team win.

There was a rather massive SI photo of Cade McNown upchucking playing for UCLA against (I think) Oregon back in the day. It was hilarious.

That's the exact one I was thinking of - you have a better memory than I do.

For whatever reason a middle school gym teacher of mine posted it in the locker room so I saw it many many times.

Who did he shred though? Didn’t he rack up stats against non-P5 teams? I think he’ll be better than tonight for sure though.

IMO he looked super shaky any time he was even pushed off his spot by pressure let a lot truly hurried.

Idk. I wasn't too impressed with him before his injury last year if I'm being honest.

Agree. Was more impressed when Henderson had his turn.

Not sure why you’re being downvoted. He was totally mediocre against P5 opponents. Lots of maroon koolaid consumed after a big win over ULM.

“Shredding defenses” is sure giving him a LOT of credit in a 7-5 year

Go look at his stats against P5 opponents

Too much work. Tell me they’re awful and I will believe you

I don’t know why so many fans ignore this, and act like it’s a foregone conclusion that weigman is a stud. He’s shown some flashes, but he hasn’t done much against P4/5 competition and he certainly hasn’t won much. Last night to me he looked fat, out of shape and clumsy, with terrible footwork and mechanics.
