Please keep downplaying Kyle field.

Feels surreal to actually be at the top of the SEC at this point of the season.

5 presnap penalties, most due to stadium noise and Aggie obnoxiousness. Plus a pretty funny snap.

That may have been the greatest hike of all time

Unfortunately OH NO was just last week

u/Realistic_Homer Texas A&M Aggies • SEC Oct 27 '24

And I hiked fumble on a FG

The botched field goal snap was the final nail in the coffin. Props to the 12th man, they 100% caused that

His annoyance and then delayed panic was comedy gold

“Hahah very funny guys ok now le- OH SH!T”

u/SamStrakeToo Texas A&M Aggies Oct 27 '24

The crowd basically blocked a fieldgoal

This is one of the things I will never get. How can people down play how effective 100k cultists going absolutely ape shit for 3-5 hours can be.

That sounds like it'd be loud, but at our practice we have speakers and they turn them up to 8.

LSU should know we can go way more than just 5 hours too.

Good, just making sure the gravity of the situation isn't underestimated.

It’s the largest student section in the country and it’s right behind the away teams bench… no idea how people try to dismiss it so easily

quick, somebody get a microphone in front of Ewers right now

If he says anything other than “yeah it is definitely the loudest venue in college football” then I will be pissed lol. Y’all will already be riled up without any shade thrown.

u/JimothyCarter Texas A&M Aggies Oct 27 '24

I heard he just said it was dead silent and there are practically no fans there, then he handed Ted Cruz an orange polo and invited him to stand on the sideline

8

u/muktheduck Texas A&M • Sam Houston Oct 27 '24

Honestly I don't think shade would matter, that game is already as juiced up as it can be.

How would Ewers know? He’s literally never played there.

Well deep fake it if we have to

MJ would be proud

u/AgITGuy Texas A&M Aggies • Zlín Golems Oct 27 '24

Let Manning do it. Less chance of ewers dying with his lack pocket presence.

u/SamStrakeToo Texas A&M Aggies Oct 27 '24

I don't think there's anything he could possibly say that would make that stadium any louder than it's going to be already lol. And I had concert earplugs in tonight

7

u/AlvvaysLurking LSU Tigers • Penn State Nittany Lions Oct 27 '24

To be fair, he said his own stadium was louder and also gave Kyle Field props earlier this week. What player wouldn’t? But Ags got the most out of that home field advantage today. That crowd was rocking tonight. 8 years of the home team winning now

Old rat poison, out of context rat poison, or made up rat poison is still poison at the end of the day.

u/AlvvaysLurking LSU Tigers • Penn State Nittany Lions Oct 27 '24

Michael Jordan mentality haha. Just beat Texas so my Aggie brother is less focused on me this off season.

Gladly.

Josh Rosen started quite the trend lol

5

u/ranrow Texas Longhorns Oct 27 '24

Yeah, that was a wild thing to say before a game. It made me double take too

2

u/jgfp LSU Tigers Oct 27 '24

It was from an interview over the summer about NCAA25

1

u/ranrow Texas Longhorns Oct 27 '24

Taken out of context of course, why do I always fall for headlines…

2

u/e4mica523 South Carolina • West Virginia Oct 27 '24

easily the best and wildest away environment I went to in the SEC. Don't think either team was even that good when we played but it was a rowdy and crazy environment to be in. Loved every minute of it

4

u/pbjork Georgia Bulldogs • /r/CFB Poll Veteran Oct 27 '24

I don't think that's an SEC venue. We have never played there.

u/The_Ghost_of_TxAg70 Texas A&M Aggies Oct 27 '24

I still don't know who in the SEC scheduling office abhors the concept of a UGA/A&M game so much but tbh it's kinda nice, it allows me to think really positive of y'all and bark in the office when y'all beat t.u.

4

u/Infinite-Safety-4663 Oct 27 '24

eh...the way it's shaping up though the sec may only get 4 in.

I could very easily see both A/M and Texas needing to win that final game to be one of those 4. even if they go into that game both 10-1. So while A&M fans are super happy right now and thinking they are i great position, they still may need some help to not have the texas game be a 'must win' game for the playoffs. Which honestly isn't a great place to be.

Whats hurting all these non-ga schools(georgia is in such a sweet spot because they have that clemson win in their back pocket the committee will love) is the miami conundrum. Miami probably doesn't deserve it, but if they win their next 4 games against a cake schedule and then clemson beats them in the acc title game(all of which is likely), Miami/the acc is going to steal an extra bid.

And all indiana has to do is beat the two crappy michigan schools and purdue to get to 11-1 and a likely bid(making 4 for the bigten).

So if the bigten gets 4, and ND takes one, and the acc gets 2, even if the big12 only gets 1 as expected thats still only 4 left for the acc.

So then that means 4 spots for Georgia, Tennessee, Bama/LSU winner(probably Bama), and Texas/A&M. Meaning unless Tennessee does something like lose to vanderbilt or Bama loses to Auburn or whatever, the Texas and A&M loser is very likely the odd man out.

I think for most Aggies, winning that Texas game means just as much if not more than making the SEC championship game. So it doesn’t really matter, I’m hyped that it will likely be an elimination game.
