As it is written

If there's one thing Aggies can't do, it's let good talent, coaching, and momentum ruin the script

Please don't

First time being our signature win? You’re going 7-5 at best sorry

Please no

Best we can do is 8-4 (double entendre intended)

I mean they do face a hot USC team soon…

Notre Dame wins 9 games every year a pope dies…

I’m looking forward to the memes when A&M gets their 9th win in a few weeks.

u/JumboFister Texas A&M Aggies Oct 12 '25

I would be elated to get to 9 wins in the regular season

54

u/ZealousidealNight365 Texas A&M Aggies Oct 12 '25

9 would be ok, but I won’t be elated unless it’s at least 10. I want to be in the playoffs.

u/JumboFister Texas A&M Aggies Oct 12 '25

Baby steps friend. I’ve been watching Aggie football for 26 years.

6

u/Javinon Texas A&M Aggies Oct 12 '25

My dad's been watching for 45+ years, he hasn't even speculated at all about how anything will turn out beyond the next game.

I saw a post asking what the cross-conference equivalent is for a team. For Iowa, it's really Utah, but if you go by records, man if it isn't TA&M. Haha

If we host South Carolina as a 9-0, I don't know what to think

11

u/Colonel_Aldo_Raine Texas A&M Aggies Oct 12 '25

We're allowed to get 9 wins....

....in one season?!

I’ve got a doozy prepped if we hit 8 wins before the samford game.

91

u/Money_Emu3344 Houston Cougars Oct 12 '25

That loss to Samford gonna be weird

109

u/Colonelbrickarms Texas A&M Aggies • Air Force Falcons Oct 12 '25

Losing to Samford and beating the horns? Worth it. Won’t even hurt the SEC standings.

28

u/AthleticsSharts Texas A&M Aggies • Nebraska Cornhuskers Oct 12 '25

I'd honestly be ok with that.

44

u/WhataburgerFreak Texas A&M Aggies Oct 12 '25

As God intended.

u/emoney_gotnomoney Texas A&M Aggies Oct 12 '25

Loss at LSU is a given. Probably lose at Texas as well. Which means……lose at Arkansas and then lose at Mizzou?? Dear Lord, help me. I don’t think my BAS can take that.

u/AlternativeEmu5415 Rice Owls • Texas A&M Aggies Oct 12 '25

Hear me out… losses to LSU and Texas, lose the SEC championship game and a first round playoff game. A&M finds a new and exciting way to get their mandatory 4 losses.

54

u/slappie0420 Texas A&M Aggies Oct 12 '25

Sell it to the boosters as an improvement and we'll go buy some more players.

27

u/emoney_gotnomoney Texas A&M Aggies Oct 12 '25

Honestly, I’d take that lol

8

u/JumboFister Texas A&M Aggies Oct 12 '25

Every Aggie would take that. That would be progress

1

u/crsnyder13 Texas A&M Aggies Oct 12 '25

Fuck no

1

u/DanFlashesCoupon Texas A&M Aggies Oct 12 '25

Genuinely if we can beat the Horns and lose a different game (Mizzou?) I’ll take that

3

u/AlternativeEmu5415 Rice Owls • Texas A&M Aggies Oct 12 '25

BAS doesn’t work like that sadly. That scenario would require us to go into the UT game needing a win to make the SEC championship game and playoffs, and we all know how that would go.

13

u/Colonelbrickarms Texas A&M Aggies • Air Force Falcons Oct 12 '25

You just got to… believe

19

u/FirstAndDad Georgia Bulldogs Oct 12 '25

Lose to Texas? I haven’t followed as closely this year, but Texas’s first P4 win came today. Isn’t TAMU better?

u/DirtAndShovels Texas A&M Aggies • Kansas Jayhawks Oct 12 '25

Everything is thrown out the window in rivalry games.

37

u/emoney_gotnomoney Texas A&M Aggies Oct 12 '25

A rivalry game including A&M, nonetheless

28

u/Poopocalyptict Lamar Cardinals Oct 12 '25

Hell, the UT/OU game today is proof of that. UT came into the game reeling and handily beat Top 10 OU.

5

u/deadzip10 Texas A&M Aggies • TCU Horned Frogs Oct 12 '25

Not only that but it felt worse than the score ….

1

u/Sam_Strake Texas A&M Aggies Oct 13 '25

Also Reed hasn't improved as a passer since last year so it's entirely possible that we lose the same way

8

u/DangerousAd4108 Texas A&M Aggies Oct 12 '25

Look by every metric OU should've also been better and we all saw what happened.

5

u/010Horns Texas Longhorns Oct 12 '25

I’ll fuckin do it again

9

u/publius_enigma Texas A&M Aggies • Team Chaos Oct 12 '25

Look, I need you guys ranked when we meet, it's better for everyone.

0

u/DelayAgreeable8002 Texas A&M Aggies Oct 12 '25

Texas was/is higher than OU in FPI and Sagarin, so certainly not every metric.

2

u/DangerousAd4108 Texas A&M Aggies Oct 12 '25

Every metric except the ones where they aren't

3

u/pj1843 Texas A&M Aggies • Air Force Falcons Oct 12 '25

Lol, I know we haven't really played y'all but have you seen us over the years? We can have the deck stacked in our favor and we will find a way to fuck it up.

Believe it or not? the sips and LSU my flair twin.

Tradition

5

u/thescottula Georgia Bulldogs • Texas A&M Aggies Oct 12 '25

In all seriousness, looking at the road ahead, we should be strong favorites for Arky and SCar, and I think between LSU, Mizzou, and Texas we could get one win. I think 10-2 is in the realm of possibility here, which feels so weird

3

u/tafoya77n Texas A&M Aggies • Colorado State Rams Oct 12 '25

If one of those 2 is texas Elko will likely get a jimbo extension.

5

u/anothabiscuit Texas A&M Aggies Oct 12 '25

He might get a big raise but the Jimbo extension also had the 100% buyout clause and I guarantee they’ll never do that again (unless Elko wins a title in which case the buyout is irrelevant because they’d never fire him)

2

u/Impossible-Bison8055 Texas A&M Aggies Oct 12 '25

I mean, that’s indeed possible
