Casual Ohio St fans should be ashamed

Over 5,000 hate filled comments have showed up on Ohio St kicker Jayden Fielding’s social media since last night. Fanbase should be ashamed they’re harassing one of their own, it isn’t good for the player, team, or sport. No excuse for it, touch grass. Hope the fanbase can lift up this young man in time for their next game instead of tearing him down even more.

How the hell is anyone blaming the kicker? Maybe don’t put yourself in a situation where one mistake costs you a game. Indiana is legit, get over it crybabies

you can hold Fielding responsible for being on the #1 team in FBS and consistently missing chip shots, but its also not just his fault we lost the game. Fielding has proven he is not reliable and more often than not misses the high pressure kicks. Day should have known better

You can even rightly criticize Fielding for being a senior kicker on an elite program and missing chip shot field goals on multiple occasions during big games. But if you're taking it beyond criticizing his football play to literally anything else you're psychotic and a complete loser.

No you can’t, blame the coaches for not having a better option on their roster.

maybe kick the FG instead of going for 4th down earlier

Doubt. That was his only miss under 35 yds all year. (edit: actually his entire collegiate career)

Thats nice, but I agree with the call. The committee has already shown championship games mean nothing, go for the throat. U dont win big boy games by kicking field goals with a trash kicker. Indiana just made plays, they deserve the credit for stopping us in the redzone.

Probably because it was a kick I've seen highschoolers make with ease? Yeah thats would be it

On average a college football team runs about 180 plays in a game. 1 missed kick is not THE reason OSU lost. It’s just an obvious one of the reasons.

He played like 15 snaps and was one of our biggest problems the whole game, and has a record of blowing games. Im not calling for death threats, but i thibk its perfectly ok to place blame on him

Not to mention that at best it would’ve gotten them to overtime. And they could’ve still lost in regulation.

on top of that, Indiana missed a similar difficulty kick earlier in the game. So if the equivalent thing hadnt already happened to indiana they also wouldnt be in the situation.
