Casual Ohio St fans should be ashamed

Over 5,000 hate filled comments have showed up on Ohio St kicker Jayden Fielding’s social media since last night. Fanbase should be ashamed they’re harassing one of their own, it isn’t good for the player, team, or sport. No excuse for it, touch grass. Hope the fanbase can lift up this young man in time for their next game instead of tearing him down even more.

It’s not 55% anymore, lines have gotten juiced in order to make up for expensive promos. -115 is standard and can even get up to -122

Show me a screenshot of a college football game with both teams at -115 or -122 before the game, I've only ever seen -110 (though that is obviously very rare, but it's often clearly centered at -110) Edit: Currently have Alabama -115, Oklahoma -105 so -110 is clearly even odds

You’re right. I’ve seen live odds at -114 both ways, but have yet to see anything pregame that doesn’t average to -110.

Plus, if one book is doing it line shop to another for better odds.

That’s not true outside of live betting. Pregame it still averages to -110. The promos are basically all parlay based (sportsbooks make a killing on parlays) or such a small amount it’s a “loss leader” so you make more bets that you lose

Wouldn't that make it not a 50/50 bet? Like by definition

It’s 50/50 likelihood but doesn’t pay 50/50 because of house edge

Real 50/50 would be +100
