Saban showed what you could do with a program when you could pay 5*'s under the table to sit on the depth chart and not transfer because they were one of the only four teams to keep getting into the playoffs.
Deboer is showing what a program looks like when you can't do that anymore
No no I know. But after that ass whooping from Utah and probably being 40 places ahead of Indiana in talent composite and then watching them beat the shit out of Alabama I am very disenchanted
Talent composite doesn't mean shit anymore in the portal era. There's no world where you can watch that Indiana team and say with a straight face that they're one of the less talented teams in the country. Yes, the coaching is excellent, but those players are for real.
I know you’re talking in recent times but you did win a national title with Don James and you probably should have competed for a title under Rick Neuheisel.
Annoyingly we really should have a near unbeatable ace card here if Billy G ever decided to repay* the damn school his dad went to and where he could access a computer lab as a child.
*you know, through athletics and not the buildings with his name and academic stuff he supports lol.
You guys have had a meteoric rise as well...Utah has respect cause of Kyle, and urban. Jumped from g5 to power conference and dominated. I'd argue before Indianas turn around. You guys held title for how to grow
One better. Theyre helping to prove that higher NIL ceilings doesnt always translate into success. I worry a lot about how NIL will affect cfb and this gives me some hope.

In the bastion of shit that is this sport in 2026, Indiana gives me hope that one day my program could also do big things. I love them.
