I waited all season to say “fuck” in a postgame interview. Here’s what it taught me about b2b sales

Have we leveraged our core competencies and maximized the return on our NIL spend?

Time to think outside of the box and open our kimono.

What's with the b2b sales jokes? What'd I miss?

LinkedIn is famous for people posting ridiculously personal life stories and then non sequitur-ing in to a B2B sales lesson.  My dog died, my mom has cancer, my kid's being bullied, whatever - you get a paragraph on the life event sharing way too many details followed by a diatribe on what it taught them about selling HR software or some bullshit.

Can you dumb it down a little more for the real ignorami out here? What's B2B sales? Back to back sales? Like does that mean just selling things at a rapid rate or am I'm completely off the mark?

Business to business, i.e. where the real money is in sales.

/r/linkedinlunatics to see some of these people in the wild.

I did B2B marketing for a few years before I realized I was teetering on the edge of a mental breakdown. Quit, spent 3 years in the trenches of help desk while I got a master's in technology, and now I am a business analyst instead. MUCH healthier 13 years later.

Sales from businesses to other businesses, as opposed to sales from businesses to consumers. Like Thomson Reuters selling software to your accountant, or Sherwin-Williams selling a paint sprayer to a painter. Business to consumer would be your accountant selling you their tax services, or a painter convincing you to buy a paint job for your house.

Butt-to-butt, a more genteel version of what ass-to-ass guy was needing to see.

College Football is a PG-13 sport, so he's allowed one per season.

He's going to be a Congressman eventually, isn't he? I hope he's a good one.

u/MonsTurkey Jan 20 '26

Has integrity or gets shit done? Pick one, cause that's all that seems to be possible.

Thats mostly constrained by the fact that a majority of states have a majority of the population that prefer open corruption to integrity, and theyre still not a national majority
