I mean, the first game of the season can be unpredictable with all of the jitters, rust etc. The fact that they were able to respond this week bodes well imo
Honestly, the more I learned about Whitt after Michigan hired him, it felt they couldn't have hired a more Michigan kind of coach than him. Fits like a glove.
I was saying that to any Michigan fan who was like “wtf?” He’s the kind of dude that actually is kinda the epitome of the “Michigan Man” - both the good and bad sides of that too
We sure did, and it was great. But our team was still scary to watch at times. Ohio State looks consistently dominant in most games almost every year—that’s never how we win. We’re a weird program.
Michigan had an entire half of football against a top 10 team where like one pass play was called in a year when we won the natty. Sicko ball is in the maize and blue blood.
People also tend to forget that 9-3 or 10-2 were the staples during the Lloyd days. The 1997 season was the clear outlier, the rest was actual Lloyd Carr football.
Not sure I agree with that. That was about as good of an offensive performance as you can ask from this offense. Sloppy from the penalties sure, and that needs to be cleaned up, but overall as a team that was significantly more than me or any Michigan fan I know thought was even possible.
