You’ll never have fun but you’ll win some games

100% - we live and breathe for a disgusting rock fight like that

That’s been the Michigan experience for the past 20 years! Perfect fit

u/ShallowKalkite Michigan Wolverines Sep 12 '26

More like the past 60 years. This is literally Michigan football

Honestly, the more I learned about Whitt after Michigan hired him, it felt they couldn't have hired a more Michigan kind of coach than him. Fits like a glove.

I was saying that to any Michigan fan who was like “wtf?” He’s the kind of dude that actually is kinda the epitome of the “Michigan Man” - both the good and bad sides of that too

Ain't that the fuckin truth.

u/Fit8510 Georgia Bulldogs Sep 12 '26

You're less than three years removed from an undefeated National Championship...

u/turtlespice Michigan Wolverines Sep 12 '26

We sure did, and it was great. But our team was still scary to watch at times. Ohio State looks consistently dominant in most games almost every year—that’s never how we win. We’re a weird program.

You’re going to have a fun game today. I hope it’s not fun in the same way my fun game was last year

I was at that game last year too….. looking forward to tonight though. Can’t lose.

Somebody grab the pitcher, but no rush. That man's glass is half full!

Idk that was fun lol

u/Steezeybby Michigan Wolverines • Texas Longhorns Sep 12 '26

Yeah OU has a great defense. I knew if we were to win, it would need to be a defensive struggle.

14

u/OfficialPaddysPub Michigan Wolverines • USC Trojans Sep 12 '26

I think that’s how most our game will go haha. Hoping WMU is a defensive powerhouse though so things look up on offense

u/cogginsmatt Michigan Wolverines Sep 12 '26

As a fan of defense and special teams I had a lot of fun

If Michigan didn't commit so many dumbass penalties it would have been even better

Yeah I thought our punting game was legitimately incredible to watch.

Multiple punts downed inside the 1? Hell yeah brother

u/CourseOk6854 Miami Hurricanes Sep 12 '26

That wasn't fun?

I had fun.........

Sounds like the opposite of the Gus Malzahn experience. You’ll have fun but you’ll lose some games because Gus is an absolute moron sometimes

1

u/doubleyou-tee-hache Michigan Wolverines Sep 12 '26

We have the Malzahn special of "a fuck ton of QB runs and endless jet motion before 90% of offensive snaps" down pat.

Pretty much fits being a life long Michigan fan

3

u/coney36creels Sep 12 '26

I remember what Utah football was like before him. If you didn’t have fun while he was there, you’re never going to enjoy football again.

I had fun.

Not last week tho that was horrible.

2

u/kelpyb1 Michigan Wolverines • Oberlin Yeomen Sep 12 '26

I had a ton of fun considering I went into this game expecting to turn it off in the 3rd quarter.

We’re freaks in the Big 10, we enjoy watching a 3-6 defensive punt fest

u/ericaepic Harvard Crimson • Michigan Wolverines Sep 12 '26

Thanks to most of the neutral fans for insisting on Michigan vs everybody, we had a lot of fun lol

1

u/Street-Bullfrog2223 Sep 12 '26

This skin friend. You gotta choose a side tonight. WPS tonight then you can go back to being a Ute.

1

u/TopHatTony11 Michigan Wolverines • The Game Sep 12 '26

I’m starting to understand.

1

u/MokelMoo Michigan • Eastern Michigan Sep 12 '26

I mean this was pretty similar to the Harbaugh experience especially the shea patterson era

1

u/GuyFawkes451 Nebraska Cornhuskers Sep 12 '26

Oh... it HAD to have been fun beating USC, as underdogs, over, and over, and over again.

1

u/boxman151515 Central Michigan • Michigan Sep 12 '26

Idk I had fun

1

u/ALinkToThePants Lombard Olive • Cigar Bowl Sep 12 '26

They still haven’t lost technically

1

u/do_you_know_doug Iowa • Appalachian State Sep 12 '26

Sounds familiar

1

u/NA_Faker Texas Longhorns • Wisconsin Badgers Sep 12 '26

Hey, I'm having a lot of fun rn

1

u/bb0110 Michigan Wolverines Sep 12 '26

I don’t know, I had a lot of fun today…

1

u/Appropriate_Bottle44 Michigan Wolverines Sep 12 '26

I'm having fun right now.

1

u/BrobaFett Michigan Wolverines • Arkansas Razorbacks Sep 12 '26

A grindy, smash face, defense stacked, low scoring suffocation match? Sounds like Witt is B1G material after all

1

u/Vedeynevin Michigan Wolverines • Oklahoma Sooners Sep 12 '26

B1G fans are like 70% sickos who love defense and punts so this was great fun.

1

u/Sevrdhed Utah Utes Sep 12 '26

Yo what is this flair and what are you doing tonight??

2

u/CommodoreN7 Arkansas Razorbacks • Utah Utes Sep 12 '26

Grew up in Arkansas and went to grad school at Utah. Edge to Utah since I attended there and not Arkansas

1

u/Sevrdhed Utah Utes Sep 13 '26

Haha fair enough. Go Utes !

1

u/lc910 Michigan Wolverines • Xavier Musketeers Sep 13 '26

Michigan had an entire half of football against a top 10 team where like one pass play was called in a year when we won the natty. Sicko ball is in the maize and blue blood.
