Mestemaker has 3 passing touchdowns, 1 rushing touchdown, 4 interceptions, 1 fumble, a two score loss to Tulsa, and a win against the 6 ranked Oregon Ducks… HUH? Don’t get me wrong, the kid looked great but if looking at just stats, his start to the season is an interesting one to say the least.

Mestemaker has very high highs and very low lows

He's like the Joe Flacco of college football

Not a lot of football snaps from him. He’ll grow. I think leaving for the draft this year might be one year too early but he certainly has the tools to become a really good NFL qb

Does he stay at OSU or transfer again?

u/Frommunist Georgia • Oklahoma State Sep 12 '26

He loves Morris so he should stay. He turned down bigger money to come to osu

Loves is probably an understatement. This is a guy who went from never playing varsity QB to being an FBS awardwinning QB as a freshman. If I were Drew, I'd worship the ground Coach Morris walks on. I miss them 😭 UNT looking alright against UNLV tho

He only transferred to OSU to follow his head coach, who brought him from a guy who had 0 varsity snaps at QB to the single game/single season record holder for passing yards at UNT... as a freshman. But huh, I wonder if he'll transfer out?

Yeah, allegedly he was IU’s first target at QB and turned us down. So I doubt he’ll transfer unless something exceptional happens

He signed a two year NIL contract. I'm pretty sure he stays if he feels we can go the distance in year 2.

Last week he played timid and we suffered for it. This week he said fuck it YOLO and it is the reason we won even if it hurt the margin

Oh so you’re saying he’s elite?

He has the potential to be

Ah. He's waiting in his Orange and Black for Joe Burrow to come take over.

Well with that analogy, if Oklahoma State's playoffs started this week, CFB could be in trouble.

closer to jameis winston. 4900 yard season with 30 touchdowns 30 interceptions incoming

I actually did think about saying Winston...

But Flacco is a pretty good comp too

Can I suggest a tweak to Moistermaker?

3

Oh really? Did you confuse it with your turkey sandwich with a Mestemaker?

His two picks today were tipped balls though

1

u/colonel750 Oklahoma State • /r/CFB Award F… Sep 13 '26

There was a lot of natural talent on that Oregon D, it was rhe same player who tipped the ball at the LoS 3 times. The third time saved Oregon from a DPI call.

u/realadvicenobs Sep 12 '26

both his picks today werent on him

Plus like 650 total yards.

Welcome back Jameis?

I think Tulsa was a wakeup call. Ok State came out acting like "We're power 4 and they aren't," and got punched in the mouth for it.

His 2 INTs today were off of tips. Not really his fault.

Did they transfer in a new offensive line after week 1?

It goes to show what a small sample size can betray statistics

Everyone all aboard Mr. Mestemaker's wild ride.

Don't forget 1 defender knocked out with his ass.

u/Millies_ButtersMilk Michigan Wolverines Sep 12 '26

Dude four turnovers is what I thought Bryce was going to have today and OK State still won like damn

Those are some serious Jameis Winston numbers

This is just the perfect sample for how college football makes absolutely zero sense. I love it.

Cignetti’s going to turn him into the next Mendoza in 2027
