Don’t forget about the coaching! That go for it on 4th & 8 on their own 30 with 6 minutes to go may be the worst call I’ve ever seen.

It was all coaching. That roster, that money, and that drive to win a championship should have been a winning combination with very little time to make it mesh. I think the coordinator hires were likely garbage, and they do t have control of the locker room. Going to be rough going forward.

This team has zero fucking identity or anything you can point to on either side of the ball and say they do well consistently. The amount of loafing and straight up quitting on plays I've seen these first two weeks has been absurd, especially by the defense. It seems like they misread every single playaction fake, overcommit to the run, then get burned over the top like clockwork. The lack of coherent gameplans, lack of discipline, poor game management decision, bad execution... everything points back to the coaching staff.

The lack of identity is such a good set of words for this team right now. Last year you could point to our success in rushing, special teams, and a couple good receivers. But this year? Not a single duck has stood out to me. I expect little yardage when we run, I expect missed catches and dropped passes on throws. We have lost explosiveness in both sides of the ball.

It’s a damn shame because on paper this should have been our year to make a run for it

That was utterly baffling. Our punter is great and there was plenty of time. Why gift them a field goal??

Pure stupidity and ego.

I guess the idea is you give up a field goal and you’re still only down 1 score? Idk it was weird. Would have been less baffling if it was a fake punt

It would make sense if there was 2 minutes on the clock. But they had 6+ with 3 timeouts. Just bizarre.

Jesus christ that punter. He is insane. I've never seen a football move like that.

I can say with certainty that it's the worst call I've ever seen.

Check out Miami vs G-Tech. You’ll be amazed

Definitely not impressed with the coordinators. Looked good coming out of the half and then got complacent

Yeah that may really be the dumbest decision I've seen in CFB.

Narduzzi electing to kick a field goal from the 1-yd line against PSU while down 17-10 with 5 minutes to go in the game is up there as well. (They missed this field goal)

Standard Narduzzi moment

At least they redeemed themselves a bit by running a brilliantly designed and executed play that just barely failed to convert. ...right?

That was very weird but I can at least squint and see the logic. Our D had been on the field getting roasted all game in a very warm and humid environment, so there was probably not a lot of confidence in then getting the stop. 8 yards doesn't matter too much compared to like 3 yards with Dante's arm and so might as well let our pass game (which should be the strength of the team) try to win it instead of the D.
