21 unanswered points in the 4th after Ohio State's great start is a sin

Texas spotted Ohio State 10 points with that drop touchdown and the freak interception off Cam Coleman. Those 10 points go the other way, what was actually going on with the line of scrimmage and the secondary reflects in the final score

All I'm hearing is that Texas is so good they can play like crap for 3 quarters and still beat Ohio State.

But seriously, I'm having a hard time thinking of a more disasterous start to a football game. I'm glad they toughed it out because I haven't seen that fight in this team for many years.

The start was heavily skewed by a triplet of mistakes, so maybe the half glass is full looking from the other shoe on the foot and you can say that Ohio State got lucky in the beginning they were not blown out.

I mean the offense was blowing the doors off them in the first half. We just stopped trying in the second because we believed we had already done enough to win which obviously wasn’t true

We made real adjustments and started getting pressure. Masko shutdown smith when it mattered.

lol no you didn’t. We stopped trying. First drive we drove right into your territory but decided to punt from the 39. Then we blew an easy TD, had back to back 3 and outs on drops and missed a field goal.

Your offense came a live and did a great job in the second half. But us failing to score was about our offense dicking around. Not anything you did on defense.

The back to back three and outs are us making adjustments and shutting down smith

They were both on drops

It's mind-boggling how Ryan Day keeps thinking that a relatively low number of points is enough to beat a good team (or even Michigan when they're bad).

I could understand if you're up by 35 or something, but that would mean you at least scored 35 points.

Yes, Texas is hyped up a lot, but they still have talent and they're at home. And the crowd completely changed in the 4th quarter. Why would you ever assume that 23 points is enough to beat a rather good team on the road?

Does he even believe in making a statement?

I might get memed on here but watching that game I thought Texas was the better team throughout even when they were down.

The INT where Coleman was open, dove, and the ball richocheted into the air for an INT was something I've never seen before. There's a screengrab out there where Coleman has his hands on the ball and the nearest defender is 5 yards away and it resulted in an INT.

Then Wingo dropped an easy TD when he was wide open.

Then you also had the game start with Texas gifting them 3 points from the fumble and the half ended with Texas going for it on 4th and 1 and running a WR reverse that lost a dozen yards and gave Ohio State another TD.

At halftime Texas had given them 7 points from the end of half blunder, 3 from the first play, took 7 off the board for themselves with Wingo, and took at least 3 off the board for themselves with the Coleman fluke. And were only down 20-3.

Then in the second half Texas didn't make mistakes and just kicked their ass up and down the field on both sides of the ball.

I know people will meme on Ohio State for blowing this game late but this game was closer to a 20 point Texas blowout than it was the other way around imo.

I turned it off because Ohio was so dominating. Big mistake! Saw the last minute in disbelief !
