The second half felt like 100% typical, run-out-the-clock playcalling by a 7-9 NFL team.

Reverse that to 9-7 and, by gawd, you have Mike Tomlin, Arthur Smith, and the Pittsburgh Steelers' music playing.

Fun fact, the Steelers have only finished 9-7 once (and it was 9-7-1) since 2010. 10-7's been where it's at.

As a Steelers fan, I do unfortunately know that all too well, but the joke had to be made - the standard is the standard, and things of that nature, of course.

7-9 was Arthur Smith’s record every year with the Falcons

Falcons fans did too. Dude failed with Bijan and is now failing with Jeremiah Smith

Ohio State about to sign Jonnu Smith

As a Michigan alum, and Pittsburgh-native, I am so conflicted by the comment.

I will never love anything as much as Arthur loves signing Jonnu and giving him motion jet sweeps.

Steelers, and Michigan, fan here. Michigan fandom aside - I was so deeply concerned by the decision to hire him. The Steelers have had some utterly crap OCs (Matt Canada, for example) in recent memory, but Arthur Smith is an absolute joke.

While I am obviously biased from my fandoms, and Aaron Rodgers is not who he used to be, Arthur Smith was an awful hire and his offensive stats for the Steelers are case and point on that front (along with whatever the hell this game was meant to be).

Sometimes we learn by doing.
