Ole Miss players seemed to be talking mad trash to Kiffin post-game.

Golding and Chambliss kinda took the high road but that is going to be one of the most NSFW locker rooms lmao

I want to see lane answer questions.

Someone is going to ask him does he regret the change

u/kyrev21 Kentucky Wildcats 27d ago

He’ll just go with “gaslighting” like he did on gameday every time the students started chanting

u/kylkartz21 Michigan • Grand Valley State 27d ago

Please someone in the press room ask that. I need to see the mix of anger, fustration, and confusion on his face once last time.

27

u/FUCK_YOUR_PUFFIN Penn State Nittany Lions 27d ago

I don't think he gives a shit either way as long as he gets to be the center of attention

u/Mossaik 27d ago

this is the correct answer. remember what people used to say about not feeding the trolls? Lane kiffin is the ultimate troll.

Maybe, but if he really doesn’t give a shit, he was giving a face-acting masterclass on the sideline all night. The man was not exactly exuding confidence out there.

One last time? Nah. The rest of the season.

I bet he regrets paying Sam Leavitt $4 million 😪

c'mon, man. it might not have been the full Death Valley experience, but ... that was a pretty fucking electric environment. good on Ole Miss.

leavitt was dogshit in the first half, but he kinda-sorta redeemed himself in the second.

i'll concede this is a deep cut, but it wasn't a full-on Vinny Testaverde five interception game in the 1987 Fiesta Bowl.

u/BlackScienceJesus LSU Tigers • Tulane Green Wave 27d ago

Nah, Leavitt is ass any time he can't run. And any good team will spy him all game like Ole Miss did. I have never seen a QB this sloppy with his mechanics. Leavitt threw 3 INTs against Louisiana Tech. I am ready to see Landen Clark.

>>>I have never seen a QB this sloppy with his mechanics<<<

tbf you've probably been watching SEC and not B1G football for the last 30 years, breh.

peace.

Golding is probably feeling pretty good.

Got the head coaching job, got the W over Lane after he jumped ship… he’s winning.

3

u/John_Delasconey 27d ago

Honestly, if you think about it, he’s probably already a school legend despite having only coached for six games simply due to the context of what those six games were

What do those 2 guys have to be mad at Lane Kiffin for? They both benefited greatly from Lane Kiffin

Are you being serious? He destroyed the chemistry in the middle of a playoff run and tried to take gut the staff and roster

-21

u/reddoor17 Texas Longhorns 27d ago

They won 2 playoff games after so the chemistry wasn’t that dead. And Golding got to be a SEC head coach that started his tenure with a playoff team

7

u/mrroney13 Ole Miss Rebels • Wyoming Cowboys 27d ago

Despite him

16

u/JayMerlyn Notre Dame Fighting Irish • FBS Independents 27d ago

And then Kiffin abandoned them

-13

u/reddoor17 Texas Longhorns 27d ago

Pete Goldings career is better now that Kiffin left. Dude took over a SEC school with a playoff roster. And Kiffin found Chambliss from a D2 school and made him a NFL prospect

11

u/JayMerlyn Notre Dame Fighting Irish • FBS Independents 27d ago

He also wanted to bring them both over to LSU, but they stayed loyal to their school. And while he does deserve some credit for their initial success, he shouldn't get credit for what they do without him.

Plus, if Kiffin was coaching the Sugar Bowl, I firmly believe Ole Miss would've lost to Georgia.

100%!

-4

u/reddoor17 Texas Longhorns 27d ago

You’re proving my point. Both their careers improved by Kiffin leaving

1

u/Informal_Delay_9786 27d ago

Youre point is valid but Kiffin lost all good will he created for himself when he let his exit become a fiasco. And to a very disliked rival no less. Many will never forgive him and will never speak positively about him or anything he may have done to help the program over the last six years. Fair or not humans are emotional.

u/Informal_Delay_9786 27d ago

Dont know why you got downvoted to death but you right. Golden is def not mad at him. Chambliss may feel bad about his coach quitting on his team though? Hard to say.

When you divorce your cheating ex, you can still hate them even if they gave you kids. And I don't mean you. I just mean you as in the general you.

1

u/reddoor17 Texas Longhorns 27d ago

Can you also look back afterwords and say wow my life is way better now and it worked out the best for both of us

58

u/renovatingme 27d ago

Please tell me you have video or a tweet or something

17

u/Porsche928dude 27d ago

Man if u think that’s bad imagine what the Ole Miss players were saying to the guys that transferred over to LSU with Kiffin. Lol

5

u/hyperunfocussed Ole Miss Rebels 27d ago

Saw Princewill hanging his head so low during the kneels. Had to chuckle.

2

u/John_Delasconey 27d ago

A obligatory reminder that the person who scored the two point conversion was a transfer from LSU this year, which makes everything even funnier

16

u/No_Needleworker5270 27d ago

The players have more right than anyone.

which is stupid because he built them up to what they are.

and yeah I know, LSU flair, must downvote

35

u/Andy_Wiggins Notre Dame Fighting Irish 27d ago

This is like not being allowed to be mad at your ex for cheating on you because they took your virginity.

25

u/SirMellencamp Alabama Crimson Tide • SEC 27d ago

And then tried to destroy them on the way out

u/il_postino Nebraska • Toronto 27d ago

It's not what he did at the end, it's how he went about it. It's a shitty move, made shittier by trying to snake players from OM to LSU on his way out during the playoff run.

Had he coached out the playoffs and said he was leaving, the vitriol wouldn't be anywhere near what it is.

2

u/Informal_Delay_9786 27d ago

This. If he left after the season and didnt act like a dickhead I would think there would be no vitriol at all.

-14

u/buttscarltoniv LSU Tigers • Louisiana Tech Bulldogs 27d ago

every coach that went to a new place took way more players than he did.

almost no one serious in the P4 hires coaches after the playoffs. the NCAA calendar is to blame. continuing to parrot that nonsense is a non ball knowing indicator

I was more addressing your point that The Ole Miss players shouldn't shit-talk Lane after the win as he made the team what they are currently. Which, yes, you can make that argument - but it ignores the context of how he left, all the bullshit he talked about staying and how it was home before leaving them high and dry, all that stuff.

Yes, Kiffin made Ole Miss better. I'm not arguing that. But he did fuck them over. That's not for debate, IMO. I think they have reason to talk trash after that win.
