Obviously IU is nowhere near as good as 2025, probably not even as good as 2024, but let's be real this is still a top 5% team in IU football history so I will happily savor the wins when they come, and this was a decent, hard fought win.

This is the correct answer on all fronts.

Some of us have been Indiana fans long enough to remember a time when ‘mediocrity’ would have been a major improvement over what we actually had. I’ll take winning football games over not winning football games, period.

Hey, they could be a blue blood that chokes in the playoffs every year and hasn't won a national championship since 1988, so it could be worse.

I think Northwestern is good this year, even if Indiana isn't going to repeat they can definitely make the playoffs.

1000%. We’re also building for the future.

Top 1%.

Indiana has 127 seasons of college football. If they get to at least 9 wins this year, it's still a top 1% Indiana team.

3rd best out of 127 seasons would clock in at abt top 2%

Against what appears to be a very competent team on an upward trajectory. Both sets of fans can walk away reasonably satisfied imo, which is a rare thing.

I'll take a Pop Tart Bowl if we don't make the playoffs. How many other teams have back to back champions and peoples champions?

People are going into this year expecting another perfect season.

QB will be a problem against the best teams. He just doesn’t see it/execute like Fernando or even Kurtis.

Yep.

Good win. Not the way you draw it up, but made enough plays against a decent Big Ten team.

Even if we had lost this one, I still would enjoy this ride. We have a good team. But each week have to put it on the field. Very few gimmes in the conference.

I think this team is better than 24 nw just that good and we played a bad game from the jump had to throw gameplan out after turbo got injured remember if Hoover hits Becker on 2 plays we are talking about a big blowout
