hard fought game boys. Some questionable calls, small mistakes, but man you cannot not be excited about this season

Current NU grad student, vandy class of 23. It’s nice having rooting interests in both conferences

Man I wish you were flared. We need to know what school was responsible for this.

Go show a nun this comment thread, then hand her a ruler. You have some penance coming.

lemme fix the comment for you.

An exceedingly arduous and aggressively contested athletic engagement, gentlemen. Notwithstanding a myriad of highly contentious adjudications by the officiating arbiters and a smattering of microscopic tactical transgressions, it remains an absolute psychological impossibility to divest oneself of an overwhelming, jubilant anticipation regarding the impending trajectory of this monumental seasonal campaign.

Enjoy it, its a fun feeling. Reminds me of 2 years ago vs OSU. Still enjoyed the loss because I got to see my IU play decent vs a good team.

The calls were just unfortunate all around in this game, Turbo’s injury on the late hip drop, that unexplainable call downing Beebee at the 5 vs the 12 when it was so clearly the 12. Not really sure how the Big 10 can’t find better refs but this year has felt especially shaky

That is some serious academic and endowment flair. Imagine if those two schools put a small portion of their actual resources into supporting their athletes for a couple seasons…

northwestern just finished building the most expensive stadium in college football and have received a pledge of 35 million for the football program, and vandy has finished renovating first bank not too long ago and has also been on the up and up

Unfortunately it’s just catch up spending for both programs. Doesn’t scratch their actual resources though…

That NW stadium is insane though…

to be fair, both schools have other incredibly important venues for their wealth, and still there has been investment into sports. We'll see if it pays off in the long run and if they continue investing at this rate especially with player recruitment. NU hasn't been the greatest with that, nor has vandy, but vandy did land the #1 qb recruit so TBD
