That was humiliating, our defense was awful today. Offense started off rough, but once they locked in defense still couldn’t stop a runny nose.

I could see this loss going two ways, and we’ve experienced both recently. They either use it as motivation to lock in and finish the season strong (like our 2025 season after Georgia loss) or they completely crumble the rest of the way (after our LSU loss in 2022).

Trinidad needs to do “the promise”

That only works if you are undefeated but then lose at home.

That only works if you go on to win the next 11 games and a Natty

I’m thinking lock in. Y’all had to have been a bit emotionally hungover from last week and both Sumrall and the Swamp were extra motivated to get an early statement win. If we can somehow rematch in Atlanta (still a big if don’t get me wrong) it’s a much different game.

Fucking embarrassing from Defense and special teams.

This sounds familiar

We need to hire an actual DC. Clearly Pete can’t be both.

Was it any better when was just the DC? Maybe hes not a good coach.

I think he’s a good head coach. He can recruit and the players like and respect him. The issue is doing both. It seems our defense has gotten worse as a result and it would just be for the best to hire a DC

Im skeptical of any coach when their team is consistently not good on the side of the ball they're supposed to specialize in. Even if they are head coach.

I think it’s more so he’s stretched thin calling plays. We didn’t struggle nearly as much last season with him just as DC. He was a great DC under Saban. He just needs to pick a lane and hire someone for the other position whether that be head coach or DC

I thought defense was a weakness even last year. And sometimes it can be a talent issue. But it seemed more schematic. Under Saban is a different thing all together, because Saban specialized on that side himself. Time will tell I guess but I feel like hes getting a lot of goodwill just for being the Kiffin antidote.

I swear sometimes it looked like Jaden Baugh was having more trouble navigating his own players than our defense. 😭

Y'all need a real dc. It's not like your team doesn't have talent. But that defense got out coached.

If it makes you feel any better, we’ve been humiliated since we threw that shoe and I think today we officially overcame that fateful night.

the defense needs to get Chambliss the ball back. That’s the entire lesson you guys need to learn from today — no other notes.

If the opposing teams offense keeps Chambliss on the bench, the year is gonna be rough.

I think neither. They’re not gonna crumble but they’re not gonna take off either

I assume y’all’s QB didn’t run as much because of that hit early. I know he had that nice keeper to score, I think, in the 3rd. But besides that I didn’t see him being used specifically for his legs.

Auburn was like that last week too. They have a big running QB but they didn’t scheme to utilize it.

At least you get a bye week now to deal with it and put it behind you.

Yeah y’all got fucking humiliated I agree.
