Faulkner also has lots of experience playing UGA pretty hard. Sad he left but happy to see him succeed.

Looking forward to watching the cocktail party that should be a sick game

Buster Faulkner is from Kirby Smarts coaching tree and has a house in Athens.

And I believe (someone correct me if I'm wrong) is still pissed he was never offered the OC job at UGA

Buster told Kirby he wanted to become a power 5 coordinator when he was hired and Kirby fully helped his hiring to GT. Mike Bobos’ son and Faulkner’s son are very very good friends. Kirby was coach at Valdosta State when buster was there. It's basically family ties. 

Any narrative Florida and GT fans want to create is simply not true. Buster is an elite coordinator, professional and competitor. Hes gonna coach his team to win no matter what and no matter who against. 

But there is nothing that points to him harboring any negative feelings towards UGA or Kirby Smart. In fact the opposite is likely true.

He was rumored to be offered Co-OC with Bobo, with play calling duties even, but wanted the full title

This was all while Monken basically told Kirby that Bobo needed to be the guy after he left
