Why is it USC looks the exact same every single year? Like there is 0 variance in their game plans and strategies on both sides from year to year.

Wow. It didn’t work out. There was nothing malicious. Move on. I hope he balls out at Oregon for every game but Nebraska.

I cannot wait for there to be nobody alive when Nebraska was a contender

That hasn't been a problem for a bunch of programs tho. Clemson ten years ago for example.

USC is like going to Notre Dame but you like losing a lot and want a worse education.

4

u/chemicalxv Manitoba • Notre Dame 20d ago

Well minus that Pac-12 Championship Game they jobbed to Utah that cost them and the Pac-12 a playoff spot >_>

It’s crazy to think to USC is to kids today what Nebraska was to me when I was in college.

It really isn't fun beating you guys anymore.

12

u/kmilla10 Oregon Ducks 20d ago

I do know one team that beat Oregon 10 years ago… badly….

19

u/Ok_Understanding1986 Washington Huskies • Pac-12 20d ago

Heady times indeed. Don't think we'll need to worry about that this year though, ha. The Huskies pre-season dark horse hype looks badly misplaced in early returns....

On the shift in power though, it's crazy that UO and UW have both made multiple CFPs while USC has failed to qualify.

10

u/sadbluefleece Oregon Ducks • Pac-12 20d ago

I agree. Makes me realize it’s a different type of hate I have for usc compared to the huskies.

26

u/TheMagicalLawnGnome Oregon Ducks 20d ago

The Huskies are a rival. I do not like them. I hope they lose. But I generally respect them as decent human beings who will play a clean game.

USC is something else. They're just shitty people.

8

u/HERPES_COMPUTER Georgia Bulldogs • Rose Bowl 20d ago

Scumbag rich kids, whose team has been shit for decades but still feel entitled to respect.

Fuck USCjr.

13

u/Ok_Understanding1986 Washington Huskies • Pac-12 20d ago

Yep. The Ducks are traditional/regional rivals. It's baked in to being a fan.

USC earned it.

Fear not, that coach is commentating on the Minnesota at Washington game right now. He'll figure out a way to curse the game.

2

u/According_Grab_394 Ole Miss Rebels 20d ago

If Washington wins next week, it will be the same amount of time USC’s beat Washington.

AND SHE'LL NEVER SEE ORE WIN A NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP EITHER. SADLY ENOUGH. BUT HEY, YOU GUYS KNOW HOW TO HYPE YOUR TEAMS EVERY PRE SEASON. MAYBE A SPELLING BEE, WOULD SUIT YOUR TEAMS BETTER?

3

u/Wittyname0 Oregon Ducks 20d ago

Gotta flair up if you wanna go full crazy like that

8

u/Vegetarian-Catto 20d ago edited 20d ago

3 wins in the last 18 years, all 3 over 10 years ago. Basically no players on either team would be old enough to be able to remember a USC win streak.

2

u/breakwater UCLA Bruins • Chapman Panthers 20d ago

I have thought about this before. Many winning legacies that fans know are really so far removed in time from what a high school kid would have even considered relevant in their life. In their lives a team like USC has been a 25 top caliber team but never among the truly elite. Many of us still remember their run in the Pete Carroll era and it doesn't feel that long ago. But even hardcore high school kids have a memory that goes back maybe 8 seasons or so at best. It's even harsher for a school like UCLA who wasn't even "meh" for their viewing years.

34

u/Various-Net9757 20d ago

They even killed the Pac to try to win by changing the game and still keep losing. The biggest frauds in football.

I hate UW as a football team but at least they didn't do that. I hate USC at a meta level, they took a shit on the entire sport.

8

u/rheakiefer USC Trojans 20d ago

8

u/master_roshis_hat Nebraska Cornhuskers 20d ago

sensible chuckle

12

u/deytookerrspeech Notre Dame • Maryland 20d ago

Their coach doesn’t know how to make brisket or coach defense

3

u/dub47 Texas Longhorns • Red River Shootout 20d ago

Oh hell yeah dude. I can’t do those things either. Can I coach USC?

5

u/deytookerrspeech Notre Dame • Maryland 20d ago

The only other prerequisite is do you hate the history of USC football and only care about making money? If so you’re the perfect candidate!

3

u/dub47 Texas Longhorns • Red River Shootout 20d ago

They owe us a Heisman trophy for Vince Young, and Pete Carroll gave Lane Kiffin a job, so…yeah, I hate USC.

Also I’m a husband and father that would like to afford college for my children one day so I very much like money!

1

u/ArmMeForSleep709 Texas Tech Red Raiders 20d ago

You can't cook brisket in Texas? Shame

1

u/dub47 Texas Longhorns • Red River Shootout 20d ago

I am a native Texan. In my experience, the vast, vast majority of us never have and never will smoke a brisket in our lives.

3

u/twoinvenice USC Trojans • Paper Bag 20d ago

WRONG!!! (about the second one)

He doesn’t know what a head coach is actually supposed to be, in any way shape or form. Dude is just an incurious OC who got promoted to the big seat and has zero clue what to do, and all he wants to do is play with his offense.

Get it right leprechaun 🙄

5

u/headstar101 Oregon Ducks • Rose Bowl 20d ago

3

I know you guys have the longer record, but I would absolutely love Utah to play USC this year. It would be fun.

u/SilverBuff_ Colorado Buffaloes • Big 12 20d ago

Such a good year

0

u/Charming-Spite-3452 USC Trojans 20d ago

And Oregon likes to be a bridesmaid who never won anything bigger then a rose bowl

-2

u/Difficult-Topic1153 20d ago

HOW MANY CHAMPIONSHIP BANNERS ARE HANGING IN ORE AGAIN?

-4

u/[deleted] 20d ago

Oregon is the biggest fraud in the history of CFB when it matters.

11

u/JDerrick29 Notre Dame • Pittsburgh 20d ago

I’d say “shhh dont say anything” but they are too cowardly to play my team now so I guess it doesn’t matter

3

u/miboyl Indiana Hoosiers • Sickos 20d ago

At least it'll resume in 2030 but they're such cowards for putting more energy into being afraid about what losing to ND would do to their playoff chances than into fielding a team who could beat them. Also cowardly for demanding the resumed series of games be played in September because "it would be too much travel" bitch no one made you join a Midwestern conference

1

u/loopybubbler Ohio State Buckeyes 19d ago

It will be so funny when they miss the playoffs each year anyway. Will have chickened out from playing ND for nothing.

-2

u/Difficult-Topic1153 20d ago

YOUR TEAM WILL CHOKE, AS ALWAYS. WHEN WAS YOUR LAST CHAMPIONSHIP? OR WHEN WAS YOUR LAST EMBARRASMENT IN A CHAMPIONSHIP GAME?

I LIKE NOTRE DAME, BUT THEY HAVE BEEN EMBARRASSED TOO. THIS YEAR MAY BE THE YEAR. GREAT COACH.

3

u/FluffyPenguinDragon Miami Hurricanes • USC Trojans 20d ago

I mean you can lowkey say that about Riley’s team when he was at Oklahoma too.

3

u/RedNinja-03 Ohio State • Middle Tennessee 20d ago

That’s just your average Lincoln Riley team

4

u/twoinvenice USC Trojans • Paper Bag 20d ago

That’s the Lincoln Riley special sauce!!!

2

u/nd5thyear Notre Dame Fighting Irish 20d ago

Freeman broke them

2

u/asshandsintheair Oklahoma • Virginia Tech 20d ago

That's Lincoln Riley football

2

u/According_Grab_394 Ole Miss Rebels 20d ago

I was gonna come here to essentially say the same exact thing. USC under Lincoln Riley starts the season off by giving their fans hope. The narrative preseason talks about how they are on the brink of being a contender again, and they have the exact same end result: disappointment.

The season isn’t over, we’ll see if this team can be resilient and play with a fire, but at this point I don’t know how you can expect it.

No idea what to expect from the Big Ten at this point. Obviously Oregon looks better coming off their performance, but the teams that were supposed to be contenders did not look great, aside from Ohio State.

Anyone remember Pat Narduzzi’s comments about the ACC being better than the Big Ten? He’s still wrong, but I think he cursed the conference. Coastal Chaos may have evolved into Midwest Mayhem.

1

u/Cautious_Half_9915 20d ago

Legitimately the same shit every year and all the “experts” drink the cool aid every single time. It’s nauseating

1

u/RupturedDuck1942 USC Trojans • Victory Bell 20d ago

It really is amazingly consistent. Give up 500 yards a game in winnable games and lose on dumbass drive-extending penalties. Tale as old as time for last ten years!

1

u/RumpEater5000 Oregon Ducks 20d ago

Hey, at least you got corn going for ya

1

u/xavembo Oregon Ducks 20d ago

not true, they’ve innovated this season by adding disgusting dirty hits to try to paralyze the opposing quarterback to the game plan

1

u/AlphaKnows 20d ago

i told my friend this is the most oregon vs usc score in existence 😭

1

u/No-Chemical3629 20d ago

USC is overrated every year and every year is the same result. Still paying for Reggie Bush and Matt Leinart war crimes. Can’t wait until they move to the SEC west.

0

u/Difficult-Topic1153 20d ago

BECAUSE THEY HAVE ZERO DEFENSE WHEN IT MATTERS. THEY SHOULD HAVE JOINED THE MTN WEST, OR THE WAC. AND HOPE THEY AVOID BYU BEFORE THE PLAYOFFS!

-2

u/[deleted] 20d ago

So does Oregon. They have no variance or strategy except winning meaningless regular season games

6

u/Rallysquirrel109 Oregon Ducks 20d ago
