That PJ fleck seems like a level headed coach, love that guy.

Good thing we apparently interviewed him for a whole 10 minutes.

Ehh, don't forget that during his tenure you also got JIm Harbougu and won a natty.

I think fleck wouldn't have worked out at michigan. His hole "row the boat" thing and his own brand likely would have clashed with the existing culture and boosters of any blue blood.

He works in Minnesota because we don't have national championship ambitions, and there's not a strong history or program culture like other schools have. The last time the gophers were at a rose bowl was 1962. They had 0 BCS bowl appearances during the BCS era. And 0 NY6 bowl appearances in the playoff era.

Fleck runs a clean program, they're generally competitive, and they're entertaining. We win some rivalry trophies, and we make bowl games. That's been the gophers ceiling since the 60s. We thought we could be more, we flew too close to the sun when we fired Glenn Mason and hired Tim Brewster.

The Brewster days were truly awful.

If you can make a Hawkeye cry today, I’ll go out on a limb and say right back at you, Friend.
