Underwood was awful, but so was the run game. I've seen some bad Michigan offenses before, but this might be the worst one. They're not one-dimensional, there's nothing they do well.

Was Denard Robinson a better passing QB than Underwood…?

I'd say pretty easily yes. The dude had over 6k passing yards on his career. Hard to see how Underwood gets anywhere near that.

Robinson was far from a perfect thrower, but those offenses could score points and were dragged down by terrible defenses.

Yes and it's not even close?

Denard put up numbers at QB, he was not pass first and wasn’t amazing as a passer but the dude got it done and was tons of fun to watch.

Yes - but we also gave up 50 pts every game in that era. Denard with this D would be something to behold.

Denard has better stats at michigan in his last year then Tom Brady.

He got a lot better at throwing

If every drive after the touchdown had ended in a punt Michigan probably wins. The offense was so bad it actively helped Minnesota.

Something I think about a lot every CFB season: How Mike Leach frequently reiterated that quarterback accuracy cannot be taught or significantly fixed once a player reaches high school, college, or the NFL.

This seems to be true. Whenever I see a young QB with a lot of arm potential if only they improved their accuracy, I have to remind myself that will likely never happen.

There's Josh Allen and nobody else that I can think of.

accuracy is not his problem. decision making is. constantly throwing into double coverage, holding balls too long, etc. i don't think I've seen him their a single ball away.

he's got enough accuracy. he isn't perfect, but most guys aren't. but it's like he's still 18, back when he could get away with just his elite physical tools. but now he needs mental tools and they just aren't developing.

Our offense is zero-dimensional.

Michigan offensive line was absolutely awful. Just completely outmatched.

Your run game will get back on track in 2 weeks.

Minnesota won the line of scrimmage. Not much Underwood could do in my opinion.
