Spartan football is a symptom of the trash leadership that have plagued the university for a decade +. At any one time someone should have stepped in and decided to make mature decisions about the future of the athletic department. Instead its buck passing and finger pointing with Izzo covering up the cracks

Izzo has kept the athletic department together for the love of the university. I'm interested to hear the stories in the next 10-15 years about what he said/thought behind closed doors.

It’s amazing how much Izzo loves and supports MSU with so many scandals or rumors of scandals occurred in sports and leadership over the years. Izzo is a rare breed these days sticking with the school throughout everything while keeping MSU basketball popular and relevant (not that basketball has been perfect but he’s keeping up with the NIL and changing basketball landscape). It would have been so easy for Izzo to leave for the NBA at any point. I’ll always love Izzo even if I can’t stand MSU leadership.

If they don’t spend $40M on next year’s roster, the fanbase will be gone. No one has patience for this garbage product.

The university seems to not understand how much money a good football program can bring to the entire institution. If your team is constantly on national television competing for championships, the more people are gonna see your commercials and consider applying/enrolling.

PUT. THE. MONEY. IN. THE. BAG.

MSU brass are like Congress, really: get paid big bucks to do absolutely nothing then retire to their yachts in the off-season. When things go wrong, blame the other side (BoT for example). Truly abysmal, glad I attended when they were nationally relevant though.

MSU can be co MAC champs at moment. That’s a W for Fitz’ first campaign back from his sabbatical
