Devin Gardner was good when he had a decent oline

I think he could have been a legit force at qb if he had harbaugh coaching him. If you put Gardner at qb on that 2016 Michigan team I think we are in the playoffs and giving Clemson and Alabama a good game

Wouldn’t have mattered. Michigan was nowhere near Clemson or Bama that season. Offense wasn’t explosive enough (even with a healthy Speight pre-Iowa shoulder injury), OL was good not great, and defense was way too slow at LB even with peppers moving up in the viper position.

I always respected Gardner. He always came to play against OSU.
