Does Bama have any boosters wealthy enough to build a rocket that DeBoer can put #5 on to launch into the sun?

Boosters? No but they do own Huntsville and can probably put one together

Send him up with a Saturn V and just tell him it's named after his jersey number

They definitely don't own Huntsville. They're not even the best engineering school in their own University system

Rockets? No.  Submarines on the other hand....

I think they might know a guy…

How do you get a submarine to the sun?

We'll have to ask a Houston or UCF flair.

Huntsville, AL is Rocket City, USA. We got plenty lying around to send him

We don't want him to be lonely, so send that endzone ref with him.

I’m willing to chip in if blood or hair would help

Pretty sure one of their alumni is the CEO at Northrop Grumman

We got the space center and arsenal, I’m sure we can figure something out

if you send him to Huntsville, they might do it for free.

Let’s be honest… the people working there are not Alabama fans or from Alabama

10

u/sorryiamstupid UAB Blazers 6d ago

I live in Rocket City. This is hilariously wrong in my experience. 60% is Alabama, Auburn, and UAH alums who grew up in Alabama. 15% is MS State and Tennessee alums. The remaining 25% are everyone else

3

u/Hnry_Dvd_Thr_Awy North Alabama Lions 6d ago

I’d probably increase the remaining category but otherwise, agreed.

Source: I look at the rocket on my walks.

What?! Have you ever even been to Huntsville? The people who move there for the space program are a tiny percentage of the population.

1

u/swagypotatosnoopdoge Washington Huskies 6d ago

Fair enough. Honestly wouldnt be shocked if theres more husky fans than bama fans because of companies like boeing

3

u/Aumissunum Alabama • North Alabama 6d ago

I would be extremely shocked.

I have never seen a Washington logo in Huntsville. It’s like 60/40 Bama Auburn

1

u/swagypotatosnoopdoge Washington Huskies 6d ago

Really, I know some people who graduated from uw, worked at boeing until things started really going to shit, and moved either there or down to either florida or houston

3

u/sorryiamstupid UAB Blazers 6d ago

I’m not saying you are wrong. I’ve been in Huntsville for 12 years now and haven’t met a UW alum. I will be on the look out though!

2

u/Nihilisticbuthopeful Alabama Crimson Tide 6d ago

I assure you there are a shit ton of Bama fans that work for those companies in Huntsville. In comparison to other fields, no, but there are fucking plenty and they are everywhere.

1

u/swagypotatosnoopdoge Washington Huskies 6d ago

Well they better volunteer if thats the case

4

u/r1mbaud Alabama • North Texas 6d ago

#5 is an idiot, but he didn’t lose us this game.

13

u/pappapirate Alabama • South Alabama 6d ago

he really, really helped though

1

u/r1mbaud Alabama • North Texas 6d ago

Definitely wouldn’t mind a minkah or pat back there instead 😬

8

u/mostlycharmless9 UAB Blazers • Alabama Crimson Tide 6d ago

I mean his failures extend beyond that stupid penalty at the end. He was consistently the worst player in the secondary.

3

u/r1mbaud Alabama • North Texas 6d ago

No argument here

1

u/TheGov3rnor Alabama Crimson Tide • College Football Playoff 6d ago

Should use some of those fund to pay the refs instead

1

u/Stuckinengland Penn State Nittany Lions 6d ago

Can it be like one of the reusable rockets please? Recovery launch pad might be available in state college

I don't know if I've ever seen a coach that publicly mad before holy shit

1

u/CheckItWhileIWreckIt Michigan • Rutgers 6d ago

I've never seen Deboer so fired up. I remember him getting heavy criticism for being passive on the sidelines in previous years but that dude was MAD at the DPI no call and that idiotic penalty.
