How stupid do you have to be to fall for a draw on 3rd and 11. Never throwing in that situation ever
1
u/UnreadiblySmallPrint 3d ago
Delaware had pretty good success putting 6 guys in the box on a blitz. Don’t know why they didn’t do the same
1
2
u/OrderTime Texas Tech Red Raiders 3d ago
Hell yeah middle Tennessee
2
u/UnreadiblySmallPrint 3d ago
Hopefully going to improve on our two prior 3-9 seasons. I dunno though, we’ve still got 6 more games to lose.

Just realized this is the second week in a row all CUSA games will be played on weekdays. Did they just collectively agree to play on weekdays for the rest of the season?
3
u/Easy_Buy_1669 North Texas Mean Green • Texas A&M Aggies 3d ago
It's a major part of their television package. https://conferenceusa.com/news/2026/9/28/football-fb-week-five-marks-return-of-weekday-cusa.aspx
1
2
u/loyalsons4evertrue Iowa State Cyclones • Big 8 3d ago
They play for about 3-4 weeks during the weekday primarily and then go back to Saturday’s and that’s when the MACtion starts on weekday’s.

isn’t that how it always is after a certain point
3
u/Professional-Bus-934 Ohio State • Georgia Southern 3d ago
come on Tuesday CUSA give me something crazy in this last 1:51 instead of a boring MT clock grind
3
u/-Kyllsw1tch- Missouri Tigers • Saint Louis Billikens 3d ago
Oh nooooooo just go to the 2 minute warning
2
u/Grumor-Mill Tennessee Volunteers 3d ago
Why would you not go to the 2 minute time out and THEN snap it?
4
u/MeatTornado25 Delaware • Virginia 3d ago
Man, the whole advantage of getting a play off before the 2 min warning is that you can run something conservative and still stop the clock anyway. Could've just run it or done some sort of screen play.

Fans/those who’ve seen more of them: is this truly a competitive football game? or are both of these teams big cheeks?

I hate dunking on small crowds but the student section looks like not even most of the player's girlfriends showed up
2
u/ATLBravesFan4 Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders 3d ago
As someone that goes every week. Alumni, not in the student section anymore, it’s bad man.
2
u/UnreadiblySmallPrint 3d ago
That’s how it’s looked since about 2012. So glad the school spent $30m on renovations for all 8 fans that show up on a weekly basis.
4
u/OrderTime Texas Tech Red Raiders 3d ago
Delaware has plenty of time to score a TD or even tie it. Id take some OT lol

How did the Delaware coach get an unsportsmanlike penalty?
1
2
u/dualstrike19 Kansas Jayhawks • Ferris State Bulldogs 3d ago
Well left enough time for Delaware to possibly answer
2

What was the Delaware coach so worked up about to get a penalty on a legit injury?

That stadium is gigantic, does MTSU ever actually fill it up even on non-weeknight games?
2
u/TotesMcGotes13 Middle Tennessee • Tennessee 3d ago
lol no. I was in school there our best year in 2009. Never sold out. It’s abysmal. We should honestly consider dropping back down to FCS
2
u/UnreadiblySmallPrint 3d ago
So glad Floyd Stadium got a $30m upgrade. Wish they would have upgraded the athletic department leadership instead. The stadium has looked that empty for close to 2 decades now which is pathetic.
1
u/TotesMcGotes13 Middle Tennessee • Tennessee 3d ago
Well to be fair, the upgrades are very much needed for overall athletic facility purposes if you want to stay FBS level.
1
u/UnreadiblySmallPrint 3d ago
We’re not going to stay there if we’re constantly in the 130s of the NCAA power rankings. Want recruits? Win games.
1
u/Altruistic-Cloud-552 Georgia Bulldogs 3d ago
We need stuff to bring recruits in. The recent renovation took out a good amount of seating for new facilities and I suspect they’ll continue on that track. That being said, when I was there by the fourth quarter there were maybe hundreds of people there? Maybe dozens even, no excuse to lose in a state that borders the talent that they do. I am one of the few believers in Derek mason though, there’s been improvement year over year.
1
u/UnreadiblySmallPrint 3d ago
Season 1 being 3-9 and season 2 being 3-9 and season 3 being 3-3 isn’t much improvement
2
u/Altruistic-Cloud-552 Georgia Bulldogs 2d ago
Gotta disagree. Last year we were competitive. If we don’t win at least 6 this year I’ll be on board for firing him.
5
u/Altruistic-Cloud-552 Georgia Bulldogs 3d ago
Fuck no we didn’t. It’s kinda miserable when the program has been so terrible the past few years.
2
u/MeatTornado25 Delaware • Virginia 3d ago
You gotta try something safer than that on 3rd & 17. Try for 5 yds and attempt a FG.

1
u/Fickle-Decision6815 3d ago
How does early/midweek football defense always suck so bad
4
u/Muffinnnnnnn Florida State • New Mexico 3d ago
FIU is playing right now as well and has a top 10 defense in the country only allowing 13 points per game. Unfortunately their offense is horrible so they've already lost two games 19-9 and 16-10 this year and are 3-2.
5
u/OrderTime Texas Tech Red Raiders 3d ago

When Eatmon’s family got to Ellis Island they asked his grandpa what his last name was but he was so distracted by how skinny the immigration worker was. So he said, “Eat, mon!” And they then became known as the Eatmons forever.
