I really feel like the CUSA is about to fire every ref. There were so many bad calls on both sides and in multiple games and even last week.

Who else could they find on a Wednesday night?
2
u/rjd10232004 Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets 2d ago
Me. 😂 idk but I feel like there a high school ref out there that wants a shot.

Why is the color commentator talking like everyone watching the game has never watched befofe?

u/soonerman32 Oklahoma • Red River Shootout 2d ago
Ball is lined up perfectly with the PAT hash mark. Don't see that very often for game winning kicks

u/Muffinnnnnnn Florida State • New Mexico 2d ago
If he hits him with his head up that's not targeting, but he put his head down. That's a penalty to protect the defensive player's neck

I just don't understand what the player is supposed to do there. Yet the Bama/UGA hit wasn't targeting. Makes no sense

Not hit the QB in the facemask by leading with the crown of his helmet

Targeting lol. What a terrible call, refs are just upset that KSU didn't give up when Missouri state started to take a knee

What is the announcer talking about. Kennesaw state wasn’t getting the ball back unless they blocked the kick

I get why they called it but I can't agree that this should be a penalty

Ha right. He chose to be defenseless.
4
u/soonerman32 Oklahoma • Red River Shootout 2d ago
It was crown of the helmet to the facemask not about being defenseless

u/dawgpack09 Utah Utes • Washington Huskies 2d ago
That’s not targeting, that’s football
1
u/AruarianGroove William & Mary Tribe • Team Chaos 2d ago
Right, if you don’t want to get hit, don’t wait so long. Replay slo-mo makes it look worse than it is. Refs have no sense of inertia.

A runner isn't a defenseless player, right?

That's targeting. he's gone for the last 35 seconds

Are you questioning their strategy? They’re doing the right thing to win the game
9
u/soonerman32 Oklahoma • Red River Shootout 2d ago
I've never seen a QB get lit on a kneel down like that before without it being a late it. That's hilarious.

Maybe running towards the d line before taking it has something to do with it

Im ready to start talking about Macks job. Offense is horrible, you dont target your most explosive player. Defense has some of the worst coverage Ive ever seen. One of the most penalized teams in FBS. Odom was the saving grace last year.

u/WillWork4SunDrop Alabama • Kennesaw State 2d ago
He is in his second season. In his first season he took the worst team in the league and won a conference championship. He coaches at a school that pays NIL in Kohl’s Cash. What more are you looking for here?
1
u/Subject_Whereas9954 Kennesaw State Owls 2d ago
Penalties are not a NIL thing. Coaching decisions are not an NIL thing.

Kennesaw State went 10-4 just to embarrass an already disrespected C-USA last season, and now they're just shitting the bed.

Am I missing something or why did Kennesaw burn through their timeouts so fast?
2
2
u/ARealMeanMongoose Florida State Seminoles 2d ago
Didn’t give their defense another chance to commit 10 penalties in a drive
7
u/Master-Ad7325 2d ago
Why do these coaches get paid so much to just lose their teams games by being braindead
6
u/WillWork4SunDrop Alabama • Kennesaw State 2d ago
So what I’m hearing is that Kennesaw will be in free fall next week when conference favorite Liberty comes to town.
Right where we want them.

If Missouri St gets a first down, Kenessaw St should let them score the next play.

Missouri state will learn nothing from the first half and score too early.

There will be a point very soon where Kennessaw St will need to think about the clock and contemplate using their timeouts.

Holy shit, again this QB doesn't know how to run and commit. The guy hesitates so much and makes the wrong choice
He was right to run, but why hesitate. Commit and dive in...

26 for 230 last week
18 for 176 this week
This game is actually better than last week in terms of how many penalties..

Why is Kennesaw running the ball???
Just pass the ball... Missouri state's pass defense is like the Buffalo Bills.
