News [Dinich] The CFP has reached a handshake deal with ESPN to broadcast a 24-team CFP beginning in 2027, a source told ESPN. There is still a lot of work to be done to formalize the deal on paper

It’s the American dream to earn enough that you have the power to make sure you’re always going to earn more

I don't get the outrage. This is how FCS has done it for years with no issue. This opens the door even further for every school.

FCS has every conference champion in, this will not…

I wish this is how d1 worked. Then we wouldn't have super conferences.

I don’t think you know the FCS playoff structure.

FCS playoffs give autobids to 11 conference champions.

With the same amount of overall playoff participants, the FBS playoff wants to give out 4 autobids.

That’s not giving opportunity. It’s consolidating it.

You could choose to believe all of the reporting on it so far is wildly different than what it will be.

It would be a choice for sure.

Are we getting all conference champions in?

Every school in the SEC and BIG, more schools than not in the ACC and Big 12. The remaining 70 teams get to fight for one spot.

Wait, sorry, bad habit. I also don’t like this but have come to accept it. I wonder what this sport will look like in ten years.

The clock has officially started on Michigan/OSU/Texas/Bama etc all going independent. Conferences are now completely meaningless.
