News [Pete Thamel] Per sources, the amount Fox is expected to get back for the cancellation of the Big Ten title game, which it owns the television rights to, is estimated in the $50 million range annually.

Because NIL makes it so Easy for the top schools to just buy the best players from universities that developed them, because ESPN is in bed with the SEC and they also basically run the selection committee for who gets to play. Not to mention realignment has muddied the path on how to earn a spot with giant Super conferences where most teams don’t even play each other.

15 years ago, this would have been amazing, but now it just reeks of corruption and predictability

lol why are we even still worried about who gets in with a 24 team? Anyone that played 3 P4 schools and didn’t wipe their asses with their hands on live TV is going at this point. The days of 2014 Baylor and 2023 FSU being cut for views are completely over, we’re talking about leaving one ranked 7-5 team out at this point. The selection committee literally just has to point at any team with a pulse

We know bama can go .500 and still get in on “quality losses” it just allows Disney to make sure all of the SEC gets in over someone actually deserving. Yano like last year. Remember folks losing to #1 and #2 ( like ND did with Miami and TAMU) aren’t quality losses but losing to unranked FSU, #8 Oklahoma and #3 Georgia ARE quality losses. And somehow that meant Bama took the playoff spot and not ND or BYU.

And now all of those teams are getting in so what’s the problem

We don't want to watch the teams gifted a spot. That's the problem. Basically 16-20 teams will be the same every year and now we can hope for a fun set of "first round" games.

Good work NCAA, now everyone gets to play "post season" football.

Bruh nobody is being gifted a spot

If anything, the committee was gifting spots based on vibes, now teams outside the top 8 have to win an extra game to earn their spot in the 16-team field

What about a 2-loss Navy vs a 5-loss Alabama?

That's not enough info. 1. bama loses 5 games and they are all close including a nail biter against ND. Vs 2. Navy lose 2 games but one of them is by 5 scores to ND.

Who should go to the playoffs? The only reason Bama went to the playoffs last year is because they went to the SEC conference game.

Why does nobody complain about Miami going last year? They didn't even make their conference game.

It’s going to be 10 B1G and 10 SEC every year and it’s going to destroy the G6
