News [Matt Hayes] The SEC willingly flushed its conference championship game that last year had better ratings than all eight first round CFP games of the brief, 12-team era.

Everything in the world is intentionally more shitty than it used to be.

What the hell is going on?

The driving factor for nearly every large scale business now is continual growth. Businesses can’t just make money and be content, they have to make more money than the previous year. Honestly, it’s natural to always want more (money, space, stuff) - it’s why so many can’t help buying that new boat or car even if it financial knee caps them - but this scale of wanting more is absurd.

The billionaire class will never be satisfied until every ounce of value has been squeezed from every product. They won’t rest until there is literally no monetary value left. And then they’ll continue fucking over your next favorite thing.

Companies will literally gamble with extinction if it means an extra zero on their earnings.

Consumers have a choice in the matter (boycott = devalue)

Governments short-circuit this dynamic. If you're politically connected, it's possible to make tons of money without actually serving the public.

I think it’s moreso that humans are addicted to entertainment and in America, football is the top entertainer so they can adapt the product however and addicts won’t stop watching the content/adverti$ements
