Dear Mizzu. If you're unhappy with Drink, we'd love to have him back in Boone. Sincerely, App State Fans all over the Southeast

Oh they’re more than happy with drink. Much better than the era before him

u/DaZingMaster Missouri Tigers • Air Force Falcons 3m ago
At some point, none of this is the players fault. When you have your 20th straight awful game against a ranked team on the road spanning 6 years, it can only be placed on the coaching.
6
u/jimpix62 Ole Miss Rebels 3m ago
The Pete Golding defense is complicated. This wasn't an issue in the previous era when the best teams stacked talent and had consistently year to year. Now it takes time because of the turnover. They were always talented but confused. Now they're settled. Throw the stats away.

I am just going to stop pondering the eccentricities of this team and conference. I feel like I’m living in a mad house rn

Nobody knows anything about the SEC, least of all myself. The thing I think I’m most certain about:
Maybe Ole Miss just had a bad day at Florida

State of Mississippi went 2-0 against us and shot our all American running bach damn

I really do expect Chambliss to have a jalen hurts type career. Get drafted by a well ran organization and have chances at winning a ring

Good Game Ole Miss, I apparently misjudged this game and my $100 will miss me

Never bet on your own team. It just hurts doubly if they lose.

How is Mizzou not scoring at will on this Ole Miss defense?
8
u/chaser676 Ole Miss Rebels • Egg Bowl 5m ago
We improved a lot over the bye, showed against vandy. Nobody cared because it was Vandy.
8
u/10thRebel Ole Miss Rebels • Magnolia Bowl 5m ago
Cause our defense actually looks really good right now. Run defense this game alone is miles better than any game we’ve had all season.

u/rageb8err Ole Miss Rebels • BYU Cougars 8m ago
Reminds me of the 2015 TAMU game. Defense playing lights out, offense had brilliant flashes, then just stopped playing or would hurt all their scoring opportunities with dumb penalties or no effort.

Commits a holding penalty, catches a first down next play. THE PRESTIGE

You can't hold if you have to run post mesh on the next play.

This is the closest-feeling, most boneheaded three score game I’ve ever seen

My flabbers are just completely ghasted at the game plan in the 2nd half

u/DaZingMaster Missouri Tigers • Air Force Falcons 10m ago
Drink provides a nice floor because he eats up on SEC bottom feeders but he is truly a complete loser. At no point has it felt like he has coached to win this game. This game is must win and I feel like we've given up.
5
u/Wellthatsucks86 Ole Miss Rebels 11m ago
Pete needs to hire a good DC that runs his scheme and personnel and just head coach
8
u/penisthightrap_ Missouri Tigers 11m ago
I thought we had a good chance today because of our defense.
I was right. But I didn’t realize our offense was going to stay in Missouri
3
u/magnumapplepi Ole Miss Rebels • Cincinnati Bearcats 11m ago
Either JDB’s plays are prime Peyton Manning long or we just like to fuck around for no reason. Either way it needs to stop

The worst part is it's still SO much better than last year when our OC had a hate boner for QB's with unbroken legs. Guy was weird.

u/AboveGroundFool Missouri • Southeast Missouri 17m ago
Out of a timeout we run a 5 yard out when we need 11? Fire the entire offensive staff...Jesus
7
u/guardian20015 Ole Miss Rebels 18m ago
We called a timeout, came out of a timeout, Missouri completed a pass, …. but we didn’t give up the 1st down?

4

He's getting the ball 5 yard behind the line with two defenders on him. God forbid you run a screen to get some easy yards

Nearly every third quarter we’ve played, for quite some time now, has left me feeling fucking disgusted with myself
3
u/DaZingMaster Missouri Tigers • Air Force Falcons 22m ago
I’m not sure if the defense and Ole Miss offense play like this if it’s still close, but I am officially moving 100% of the blame to the offense. You just can’t show up like this in a big game.
1
u/WallImpossible Missouri Tigers • Team Chaos 16m ago
I guess it's nice to not do this against A&M but man I was hoping we'd just stop doing this all together

u/bigdog782 Missouri Tigers • Tulsa Golden Hurricane 25m ago
For the first time this year I’m really questioning the offensive play calling.
Why not throw more screens and quick passes? Why are we running at all down 3 scores and averaging 2 yards per carry? Why do we keep punting on 4th downs in Ole Miss territory?
Also so many stupid penalties on the offensive line again today.
Just when it feels like Mizzou has something going we inevitably put up a stinker.
2
u/jasonic89 Missouri Tigers 23m ago
You don’t like the combo of running for 1 yard then launching a 40 yard bomb incomplete? Repeat
1
u/AboveGroundFool Missouri • Southeast Missouri 24m ago
Bruh, it took you to game 7 to question this dogshit play calling?
1
u/bigdog782 Missouri Tigers • Tulsa Golden Hurricane 23m ago
Relative to last year it’s been a vast improvement
1
u/AboveGroundFool Missouri • Southeast Missouri 20m ago
It's been trash both years. It's just been different trash. Lindsey has been better this year at adapting (minus today). Moore was better game planning. He could script a beautiful drive, but once the D adjusted was lost. But Lindsey also makes so many boneheaded decisions at what to run when in certain scenarios that I'm convinced the opposing teams are paying him.
2
3
u/R1ckMartel Missouri • Bowling Green 25m ago
This is why everyone calls them frauds and gatekeepers every year.
Drinkwitz has never beaten a team on the road with a pulse, and I don't see any signs he ever will.

If Simmons declares for the draft this year he's gonna come into the nfl so unprepared. He should honestly transfer to Miami next year.

Mizzou is legit serving up a 3 course stinker. Special teams, offense and defense have all put up F performances.
6
u/jasonic89 Missouri Tigers 29m ago
First down: 30 yard pass incomplete
Second: run for 2 yards
Third. Throw 40 yards incomplete

Maybe Kansas didnt orchestrate the shooting of Ahmad Hardy. Maybe the shooter was hired by a wealthy baron of some kind (idk what Mississippi makes) and they did some voodoo shit with blood collected on the scene. It makes so much sense when you dont think about it
