Offense sucked. Defense and special teams did great today.

Honestly the game went fine. Put up 440 yards plus defense pitched a perfect game. They kept the offense very conservative today likely in prep for VT so I’m not shocked we didn’t see much pizazz there.
Biggest concerns is the passing game still is rough though TJ Moore kept selling Tait out by not fighting for balls placed on his hands.
Pearman sucks but he’s been the 3rd/4th string QB for 5 years for a reason. Vizzina needs to come back asap. If Tait gets injured the offense is in for a rough time.
Special teams isn’t a liability finally and it’s clearly elevating the team.
Overall the game went as it was supposed to.

I remember when there was a ton of hype around Pearman in that one spring game

Pearmen is kinda like Viz where every now and then he looks pretty good to will work for what’s needed.
The rest of the time, he reminds you why he’s a back up even in the portal era where it’s not that difficult to transfer somewhere else to start.

Our offense is anemic as ever. I swear a random number generator calling plays might be more productive than whatever the fuck we do on offense.

Didn’t love the play calling but I got to think it was purposefully conservative.
Tait is solid when he has protection. Definitely still has some freshman mistakes and decisions though. Pearman has promise but needs more reps, but he’ll be a serviceable #2. Gotta think he was forcing the passes knowing he might now see the field a lot, versus a real game if he’s called in.
Receivers had some nasty drops. O-line was great today, which while against weak competition, was at least nice to see.
Really proud of the defense. Had some bad plays but always recovered. Whenever they were getting close the defense stepped up.
Hauser needs a statue built now.

It’s not nice to know I was correct when I said someone was being too generous to think we could score 55 points. However, they didn’t think we could get a shut out. Proud that we could. People sleep on our defense too much.

These FBS/FCS games need to end. You can see the fans aren’t that into it. I’d get a 1 game exhibition but these are just boring to watch

Well, at least we now have the same record as Texas.
