I was telling my buddy that more and more I think Gus Johnson's eyesight is legitimately going. He makes that type of mistake multiple times a game now, it's disorienting. I used to think he was just inattentive or lazy or impulsive, and he might be those things, but I also think he is seriously not tracking the game action. This has been a thing for a few years now and I can't understand how Fox doesn't care about it, they must notice it.

He kept missing calls left and right and because he yells on every play, it makes it even worse.

Every time I'm watching a game and start getting annoyed by the announcers, I look up who is calling the game and 80% of the time it's Gus Johnson. I've really disliked him for a while now.

he's repetitive and he's always on OSU games. two-three a year and I'd probably love him but they need to rotate the announcers more

He peaked calling UCLA-Gonzaga in 2006.

No 2006 was not twenty years ago. How dare you say that, I hate you.

Glad someone else said this. Forced fumble 2nd play of the half, Gus with the most monotone call of all time. But Charlie B from Nashville Tennessee makes a 10 yard catch? "WOOOOO"

That’s my qualm with him. The problem isn’t that he gets too excited, but he turns into Al Micheals on TNF during the actual big moments and goes nuts for a 4 yard rush on 1st down.
