This is the fault of both of Marsh and Hoover.

To blame either of them 100% is wrong.

90% on the WR. He thought it was an easy catch and became lazy tbh.

99.999 percent

Edit: and I don’t know where the other 0.001 percent is cause it’s hard to put that on the QB.

Dawg if Hoover places it in bounds Marsh doesn’t have to toe-tap.

This is a reach.

The WR was free. There was no reason this throw had to be to the corner of the end zone. The ball was both under thrown slightly forcing the receiver to slow down, and out of bounds which would have been a toe tap catch as well.

I still think this is mostly receiver. But this ball shouldn’t have been this far out of bounds.

Offensive Line?

I don't think he became lazy. I think he realized the game was on the line and focused solely on making the catch and forgot the footwork

I beg to disagree. Hoover had a pass rush in his face and threw up an easy-to-handle ball. There is zero excuse for Marsh losing track of his position on the field. This is on him.

The ball is out of bounds when Marsh gets his hands on it man. He could’ve and should’ve been able to make the catch

But I really don’t understand the comments absolving Hoover of all blame it’s a bad pass to a receiver with a 3 yard lead on the DB

I'll admit my bias as a WR who had the arm talent but the not the composure to play QB... but with the rush and the touch he put on that pass, I don't think it could be all that much better. I won't mince words, that is a very easy catch to make.

Easy to handle ball but it requires a toe-tap catch? He could have put it anywhere between the hash marks and the sideline and Marsh gets it.

Watch it again and actually look at where the ball was and visualize the movement Marsh would have needed to do to stay in bounds. It would have been an over the shoulder (most difficult catch to handle) catch with a toe drag. It was nowhere near easy.

Incredible, rare 3-way choke to save the CB

Can I collectively blame them 100%?

Somehow Lane Kiffin deserves part of the blame

That’s fair

No way. QB was under pressure and ball was very catchable. Over the far shoulder isn’t easy but also comes down right in the bread basket. They practice that play for when the WR has pressure from the inside. Just because there’s no one there doesn’t mean it’s not where the ball was suppose to go. Given how quick he got the ball out by design really hard to blame the QB for just executing the play call.

I’d still say it’s like 80% marsh

It is 100% on the receiver and I hate Josh Hoover

I mean not a great throw but decent for the pressure, and very bad sideline awareness from receiver. It's like 95-5 fault on the WR
