What an absolutely awful way to lose the game. I feel so bad for Marsh man 😔

IU WR had a Kevin Durant moment

Love a good "game of inches" moment

Villain origin story?

1

u/Mookafff Wisconsin Badgers 9h ago

KD’s clown shoe moment happened after his villain arc started

2

u/Kylo_Ren415 California Golden Bears 10h ago

Isiah Likely also comes to mind.

u/samhit_n Ohio State Buckeyes 10h ago

They beat Penn State by a toe last year, and now they lost to us by a toe. Truly a game of inches.

14

u/VersaTron Ohio State Buckeyes 9h ago

We lost to them by a toe last year too

2

u/Montigue Oregon Ducks • Stony Brook Seawolves 9h ago

By that toe a couple times

2

u/BenSimmonsThunder 5h ago

It was foreseen in the Cignetti prophecy…

He was offered a deal by the devil that he will forever blow out teams or barely win by inches…

If he accepted, once in a blue moon, the favor of inches will come home to roost and takes the W from them.

He accepted. So far it’s worked out good. Went 670 days without losing a game…which if you told an IU fan this just a few years ago they’d ask what you were smoking.

Was like the exact reverse of that catch to beat Penn State

2

perfectly balanced

Can’t stay that lucky for that long

I wish we didn’t live in a society where we all know that kid is going to get harassed and worse over a football game

38

u/mewtatesyt Indiana Hoosiers 10h ago

I know it’s definitely not gonna be Hoosiers fans harassing him cause I’m not upset at Marsh at all for that, shit happens. It’s gonna be degenerate gamblers who lost their bet because of it

Unfortunately, in a fanbase of millions it only takes a 5 or 6 assholes to make it feel like a lot. And every fanbase has some assholes.

Not any shade, I think Indiana fans are generally great, it's just unfortunately how social media works

9

u/Geno0wl Ohio State • Cincinnati 9h ago

Some Indiana fans might be assholes, but the worst and actually scary responses come from the degen gamblers for sure.

3

u/OwnWalrus1752 Indiana Hoosiers 9h ago

Every fanbase has dozens of assholes for sure. And social media amplifies them.

6

u/P-Rickles Ohio State Buckeyes 9h ago

You’re absolutely right. Gambling is a fucking plague.

3

u/Mundane_String5998 Indiana Hoosiers 9h ago

This is how I feel too. Maybe it’s the 22 straight, or the general offensive/ST sloppiness all game but I’m not that beat up.  He saved our ass last week

2

u/macandcheeser Indiana Hoosiers 5h ago

I wish you were right. But on the way out of the game today, I heard a couple of losers screaming and cussing out Hoover from their seats.

We have idiots like every other fanbase unfortunately

1

u/mewtatesyt Indiana Hoosiers 5h ago

I know those are technically people apart of the fanbase but I view those people as larpers who were Notre Dame football / IU basketball fans that switched in 2025. If anyone who was watching when Indiana went to 4 overtimes with Akron is seriously that distraught about this loss then that’s just really embarrassing

2

u/macandcheeser Indiana Hoosiers 5h ago

I was at that Akron game. And I completely agree.

Hard for me to get too stressed about this loss after what we accomplished last season

1

u/fire_water_drowned Indiana • Notre Dame 8h ago

I'm not upset, I'm disappointed

2

u/Individual_Rest_4542 Miami Hurricanes 9h ago

Even worse that we live in a society where a guy costs his team the game and earns the harassment 😞

1

u/Friendly_Ad_5294 2h ago

Yeah and some Ohio State fans need to stop hating on Jay Fielding   A lot of people have short+ selective memories

-8

u/jz05 Ohio State Buckeyes 9h ago

Fuck him and fuck Indiana. Can’t wait until they’re back where they belong at the bottom of the standings.

8

u/Original_Profile8600 Ohio State Buckeyes 9h ago

Maybe a tadbit aggressive over college football. And as far as Indiana, I think the cat’s out of the bag on them - they’re gonna be good for a while

5

u/Mundane_String5998 Indiana Hoosiers 9h ago

Everything ok?

4th down, caught it in the endzone, 1 minute left, only to be barely out of bounds as your team's winning streak comes to an end.

All-time haunting moment.

28

u/A_MASSIVE_PERVERT Purdue Boilermakers 10h ago

He's gotta be more aware at that moment.

3

u/FloatCopper Indiana • Michigan Tech 9h ago

Yep.

Hoover threw a bit of a higher arc ball because he had to throw due to pressure coming.

Marsh had enough time to make a quick check of the sideline.

Purdue fan OPINION REJECTED ❌

the camera lingering right in his face for ten seconds felt a little excessive

2

u/cyber_hooligan Ohio State Buckeyes 9h ago

I do not feel bad for him

2

u/Dorazer Ohio State Buckeyes 9h ago

Awful way to win a game. Hopefully Sayin bounces back. Else our backup will be baptize by the fire that is our remaining schedule.

2

u/Ididntdodiddly Syracuse Orange • Ohio State Buckeyes 9h ago

I don't. He is getting millions, sucks to suck

Cignetti is about to unleash the ultimate wrath on CFB isn’t he?

4

u/OwnWalrus1752 Indiana Hoosiers 9h ago

Hoover needs to get right or any hope of a CFP run will be DOA

1

u/4thTimesAnAlt Notre Dame • Indiana 8h ago

If Hoover keeps it a foot to the right, that's game.

1

u/Esterosa69 Ohio State • West Virginia 5h ago

Every second he starts to feel happy in his life that memory is gonna destroy his mental health lol

-7

u/Sp33dlimit25 10h ago

Indiana QB had been pissing me off at 4th and that last throw was the icing on the cake

6

u/LeoFireGod Oklahoma Sooners 10h ago

He got 0 blitzed and lobbed a PERFECT pass what the hell do you mean lol.

4

u/jdprager Tulane Green Wave • Ohio State Buckeyes 10h ago

Hand directly up in his face too, this was a ridiculous throw by Hoover

1

u/FloatCopper Indiana • Michigan Tech 9h ago

Good throw. Plenty good enough. Bit early with arc because pressure was coming.

Marsh blew it. But, stuff happens. He has made big plays for us, he'll make more. But... hard to imagine any play being as key.
