This is the first game of Cig's where I feel like we just didn't execute well enough. That  last touchdown, as well as the incomplete/doink combo in the first would have completely switched the storylines coming out of this game

I think that is true but IU executed really well outside of a few plays. OSU had guys wide open and Sayin missing them and a backup not knowing what was going on. That deep ball to Smith early was a bad missed PI too. Sloppy game.

I don’t think I could disagree with that first sentence more. At least on offense and special teams, IU executed horribly. Hoover legitimately missed 8-10 open throws. I thought him and Sayin had very similar games, just constantly overthrowing open receivers.

Difference was IU’s special teams was a disaster, OSU’s was good.

Tbf Indiana has had execution problems all season. But they finally were caught out on it by a team that could capitalize. I mean, the 2024 OSU game was lost in no small part due to special teams execution leading to two OSU TDs.

Honestly both teams deserved to lose that game.  I'm glad we get credited with the win.

Idk how to explain it but I feel like Hoover isn’t as bought in, does that make sense?
