People saying we deserved to lose. I think our defense deserved to win. It’s ok to have a defensive based win

Both defenses played like top 5 teams for sure.

Agreed. GG.

I hate to say IU blew it but they probably should have won on that last play. We got this one but I don't feel like we deserve it.

See you in December.

That last play, plus maybe 3 or 4 others individually couldve been the difference for sure. That gutsy 4th down play at the end of the half for example. Was a great play call by you guys

Same can be said for us. It came down to 4th and game.

We got lucky. GG. 🍻

I'm not optimistic with sayin being out, despite a rough showing

2

u/IamEbola Iowa Hawkeyes 6h ago

best 2 teams in the B1G easily

u/PracticeAcrobatic748 5h ago

They 100% blew it. but Ohio State blew it against Texas too.

1

u/pocket-snowmen Ohio State Buckeyes 5h ago

Yep we blew it against Texas. No question

Yes and no. Both teams had a lot of opportunities. The qbs played bad. And I don’t mean just statistics, I mean overthrows, missed throws, underthrows. Etc.

We pressured the Indy QB about 2 times. We had no penetration on passes. Runs we did well. But our pass rush was nothing. The 2 times he actually got hit was a great sack and fumble the other was a extremely questionable roughing the QB be where if that was roughing Indy should have been called for it about 3 times

OSU’s rushing (O-line) hasn’t been great this year but Indianas rush d looked incredible. The sequence before halftime had me sweating

That defense had all the pressure in the world on them at the end of the game and yeah, that could’ve easily been a loss for them, but I thought that defense played extreme well

Yeah I hate this “deserved to win” argument. OSU won. So they deserved to win. Especially because they were able to win with Sayin knocked out of the game.

I've finally come around to Sayin isn't it.

He looks the same in every matchup game: deer in headlights

15

u/oneson9192 Ohio State Buckeyes 10h ago

Disagree. He has never looked that bad. I think if you ranked his 20 worst plays of his career, 8-10 were in those 3 quarters alone.

Just disastrously bad.

You can find the other 10-12 in last year’s B1G championship game and the Miami game

Iowa fans agree

Bo Nix burner account in disguise

it was just an ugly game that someone was going to win. I woudln't say either team "deserved to win or lose". But this was also far from both teams best games. We have at least seen OSU play better than this. I haven't seen IU play better so maybe this was their best.

Both offenses deserved to lose and both defenses deserved to win. Was an ugly game. Especially for the QBs.

See everyone! Ohio States just like us!

1

u/Bernawdjuhnson Oklahoma Sooners 10h ago

Is there another kind?

1

u/No-Project7171 Ohio State Buckeyes 10h ago

I agree. Defensive pressure led to a throw that slightly just barely takes his WR out of bounds. Plus the entire game really

1

u/Antonio1025 Ohio State Buckeyes • Wittenberg Tigers 6h ago

We didn't deserve to lose but we really should have lost in all honesty. The WR had the DB beat by ten yards and the guy stepped out. I'm glad we won but it could have easily went the other way.

1

u/yusill 6h ago

We didn't deserve to win or lose. It wasn't in our hands. We did nothing to put the game away. We won cuz a guy didn't toe drag. Counting on he failures of others is not how to win

1

u/UKnight14 Ohio State Buckeyes 3h ago

We forced 2 fumbles against a team that hasn't lost fumbles since game 1 2025 so I'll take that

1

u/Bondorian Ohio State Buckeyes • Oregon Ducks 10h ago

Absolutely. Would love to see more pressure dialed up but otherwise the defense played well

-2

u/Defiant-Recording-28 10h ago

Did you watch the game? IU receivers were almost ALWAYS wide open bexause they were selling out for the run but Hoover consistently overthrew. I wouldnt consider that good defense when its only good because the opponent didnt execute on their side.

-2

u/GeorgeKettice 10h ago

Letting IUs Wr be completely over on the last play was defensive genius!

Hats off to OSUs defense for consistently letting WRs be completely open! True chess match!

1

u/petataa Ohio State Buckeyes • Toledo Rockets 9h ago

The ball was thrown out of bounds. If he's standing in bounds its a lot harder catch to make.

1

u/GeorgeKettice 9h ago

Truly a genius move, OSU knew Josh Hoover is shit so they left a WR wide open

-2

u/Dadlovepanda TCU Horned Frogs • Paper Bag 9h ago

You defense gave up 28 theoretically with better execution on the kicks and no bone-head stepping out of bounds. Got lucky 100%

3

u/petataa Ohio State Buckeyes • Toledo Rockets 9h ago

Well that one field goal was 7 yards farther than anything he's made, so I don't see how you can give him that. Also, one of the TDs started from the 15 yard line from a pick. I could just as easily argue that they only gave up one touchdown

u/PuzzleheadedLunch914 10h ago

Ohio State did not deserve to win that game. Officiating was easily on the level of controversy as the Alabama Georgia game. They took away an obvious targeting, and the roughing the passer. They ruled three passes caught inside the sidelines as complete. They called holding on Indiana when Hoover himself was the one BEING HELD!! NO!! not an at all clean win. It was as dirty as a hog waller and it only shows that Ohio State is incapable of winning a straight up game.

5

u/Skeletor_with_Tacos Ohio State Buckeyes 10h ago

Targeting my ass, and literally he got hit below while he was throwing, it wasn't even roughing the passer let alone a targeting.

3

u/s0ftwares3rf Indiana Hoosiers 9h ago

Having seen IU on the wrong side of this same call several times in the last year (and this game), I completely agree.
