There was a point in the middle of the game where OSU could have blown the doors off and IU's defense + some suboptimal play from Sayin allowed them to make it a game. Sucks that it ended the way it did though.

It felt like they were going for throat and then Saying airmailed Smith for a pick.

Yeah Sayin missed some throws, took some bad sacks, and honestly OSU's ground game did not impress today. Those red zone appearances bracketing halftime were not good.

Our best RB was out (Jakobi Jackson). I was actually pleasantly surprised with our run game given that. The offensive line has good push up front for the most part.

That was Sayin's worst game of his career. Last year's games against Indiana and Miami may have been statistically worse, but I would excuse those performances based off youth and quality of opponent.

Agree 100%. That's my only criticism of day. Outside of the natty run 2 years ago, that moment of "blowing the doors off", never ends up happening.

I mean, we had Schott wide open to go up 14-3 but missed the read and OSU needed an absolute dot on third and long to barely score on the next drive. Both teams had chances to run away with this one, and both played a C+ game IMO

Josh Hoover went 20/40. You really are discounting how bad Josh Hoover was
