Discussion THATS WHY HE SHOULD PLAY DOMESTICS
Domestics give the necessary confidence to players which is very useful. I still remember he was a beast in 2023 vijay hazare and gave brilliant performance in the title winning 2023 campaign and did well in internationals as well

Shitpost How do posts like these get approved ?
No source whatsoever.
Who are these experts.
Ruturaj being traded apparently.
Apparently MS being unhappy about his domestic performances is the highlight, anyone who knows CSK and MS will know MS backs his players throughout the season. And Ruturaj played the Duleep trophy, where he scored 66 in the quarterfinals, but yeah looks like facts are being completely ignored.
These βfansβ are just straight up delusional.
EDIT: He posted the same experts and fans release list in the IPL sub and got downvoted there too.

Discussion Rutu the finisher?
As Rutu has shown great ability to be flexible and skills such as sweeping Bumrah for a six, considering the team's picks and requirements, it feels like finishing is the best suited role for Rutu in 2027. I'm sure Rutu can be the next MSD with his unparalleled ability finish games.
My playing 12 for 2027:
Sanju (wk)
Hope (c) βοΈ
Mhatre
Urvil
Brevis βοΈ
Dube
Rutu
Overton βοΈ
Noor (bowling track) / Akeal (batting track) βοΈ
Kambhoj
Khaleel
Impact players:
Sarfraz
Ramakrishna Ghosh
Aman Khan
Thala
One more Indian spinner (potential auction pick)
One more Indian all rounder (potential auction pick)

Discussion To all the fans that think you can release gaikwad and get him back for cheap.
First of all, do you even realise how stupid that idea sounds. Releasing your captain, and buying him back. To you think the players would respect him after this? Even his own confidence would be at an all time low after this.
Second of all, do you know how many teams would benefit with ruturaj in their team? I will name them
1) Delhi Capitals
2) Kolkata Knight Riders
3) Lucknow super Giants
4) Mumbai Indians
5) Rajasthan Royals (possibly at No.3)
So to battle with the other 5 teams with csk involved makes it a total of 6 teams. Since this is an mini auction, the prices would be even more inflated. If you let rutu into the auction, he would fetch an minimum of 16Cr for sure.

Discussion Looks like MS might be the shadow captain next season
Feels like MS and Srinivasan have realised that Rutu still needs a bit of guidance, especially when it comes to managing the team. Wouldn't be surprised if MS and Zak end up having a massive say in everything, from bowling changes and field placements to team combinations and overall strategy.
Rutu remains the captain, but MS could be the guy guiding him behind the scenes. Honestly, if this is the plan, I can see the logic behind it. Rutu gets the experience of leading the side while having someone like Dhoni to fall back on.
Basically, Rutu on paper, MS and Zak pulling the strings behind the scenes. π
There is no csk without thala and don't be surprised if he ends behind the stumps doing bowling & fielding changes

Discussion Who should CSK actually get in auction considering our purse and team roles ?
As per speculations from fans and experts alike, CSK's release list could like:
Ruturaj Gaikwad (18 Cr), Kartik Sharma (14.20 Cr), Prashant Veer (14.20 Cr), Zak foulkes (75 lacs), Aman Khan (40 lacs), Rahul Chahar (5.2 Cr), Matt Henry (2 Cr), Akash Madhwal (30 lacs), Macneil Noronha (30 lacs), Kuldip Yadav (20 lacs)
Note - I am not sure about them releasing Kartik, Veer and Aman.
So, CSK's total purse will be 55.55 Cr (or 27.15 if they don't release Kartik and Veer)
The biggest gap to fill is an indian spin option and a lower order finisher. So is there any uncapped player they will target or another player who may get released ? What are your thoughts ?

Discussion Batting coach needs to solve
Hey there .
Since 2018 chasing 200 became a nightmare for us , we have lost and fumbled many chases because of this sile reason .
And another important thing is our powerplay batting approach every team are scoring 60 runs . And there openers are consistent.
Consistency of our top order batting since the year 2023 we have been struggling alot with our batting lineup .
Out finishing this is one of the most important thing to talk except dhoni , we have given the winning to our opponents because of our weak finishing we even lost the easy matches , very as other teams are producing miracles interns of finishing .
The thing we have announced the head , bowling coaches after the 1 week gap . So maybbe we can expect the batting coach around in a week or so , because we need to plan the mini auction , review our players , and most importantly look out for the scouting of new guys .
So I mean to say we need a batting coach who knows when and whom to attack , should give the role clarity and approach clarity . And mostly analyse the pitch for batting . We have been very bad at this for a couple of years .
>!Mostly we need another power coach for batting who can analyse the bat speed , trajectory and has an ability to improve the timing , and the power hitting of the players .!<
>!Rutu-like players can clear the sixers with this coach easily!< .
**What do you think about concerns in our batting and whi do you think should come as our batting coach.**
**Eoin morgan , robin uthappa ?? Or any other**

Discussion CSK: A team with role clarity
If CSK wish to get better results in the next IPL season they need to adapt/evolve to the modern tactics while retaining a taste of their traditional principles.
Therefore CSK need to give better role clarity to every single player in the team to yield better results:
1.Ayush Mhatre
(Instills aggression we need in PP, need to improve strike rotation, sometime takes up many dot balls which leads to his dismissal)
2.Ruturaj Gaikwad
(need to reinvent himself, not only look to time the ball but also find gaps, need to bat like the version of david miller where he takes few balls rotating strike, then start hitting few boundaries and then carnage, people might say we need total aggression in PP but for csk i think its more important to be consistent with their opening stand)
- Sanju Samson
(Reason why Sanju comes at 3 is becomes sometimes he shows inconsistency, like early 2026 season, to have a more stable opening partnership this change is made, his role should be to play with complete freedom with full backing from management, even small cameos can have big impact in both PP and middle overs, this soln turns his inconsistency to advantage, another reason is that he has better six hitting abilities or power than both rutu and ayush to work outside PP )
- Dewald Brevis
(First of all drop the no look shot gimmicks, his role in the team should be to navigate the middle overs, stabilize if collapse happens, he needs to play like how he played against IND in 2026 T20 world cup(despite 3 early wickets he batted beautifully),pick his overs and dont blindly slog)
- Shivam Dube
(Its high time he rediscovers his form for CSK, he needs to offer the very skill for which CSK bought him i.e bashing spin, he can be a serious threat if that version returns, need to seriously improve his footwork against pace and improve himself like Tim David did after 2024)
- Kartik Sharma
(The finisher role, can play reverse sweep, scoops and ramps making him a potential finisher, can bat well against spin and has decent hitting against pace, everyones opinion about him having low SR is valid, I think the main reason why his SR is so low because of the complexity of role he was offered i.e to bat 4 for a struggling CSK where top order fell easily,in match against LSG he came to bat with intent and freedom and performed well, at 6 he has to play with same aggression and he will be a very good finisher)
- Ramakrishna Gosh
(He need to play as finisher who can contribute a few handy overs, dont know much about him, but he can offer good depth if he plays well)
8.Jamie Overton
(No explanation needed, it would be good if he improves his batting a little, we all know how he failed to perform well for us in 2025 because he was asked to ball in PP, in 2026 he did really well bowling middle overs, but his ability to hit hard lengths with high pace is something which is quite useful in PP, i also remember reading an article where analysts said he is someone like Hazlewood who has ability to deliver hard lengths, ik he might not work in PP but if he does it would be a huge advantage for us as we can get a solution for our weak PP bowling, jsk can exp this in SA20 fs)
9.Anshul Kamboj
(best we got, need to variate for better death bowling and it would be a huge advantaage for us if he delivers 1-2 good overs in PP which he wasnt very good at last season, can offer some batting as well)
- Nathan Ellis
(Great bowler with ability to deliver cutters, slower ones, yorkers, huge asset in middle and death overs, exactly what we need)
11.Mukesh/Powerplay bowler
(we need a good indian PP bowler either from auction or mukesh)
12 Akeal/Noor
(Spin is getting bashed in Chepauk recently and therefore only 1 spinner would be playing or we need to play a spin all rounder in place of R Gosh)
Alternative: Bet on Harshal Patel to play the role we want from ellis and play an oversea PP pacer instead of mukesh like Josh Tongue,Sonny baker,Spencer jonhson

Speculation. Not confirmed. Intresting π
CSK has enquired the availability of an OS player and currently in talks with him to enter the IPL 2027 auction. Whether IPL allows him or not is the thing to see.
