Academic Advising/Counseling Am I just screwed
hey so I applied for csuf transfer in the spring from juco the very first day I could July 1, so i can get ahead. I called multiple times for how the process would go and such. Then i got surgery and was recovering from that and right before then Is when I received an email saying a class I was currently taking had to be completed by the summer and not fall, basically rejecting me. since I was recovering I didn’t see the email, since it was in my csuf portal and it’s hell to get in there. They said i had to appeal before Oct 10, and now I’m seeing it. is there anything I can do?

Graduation Combined Teaching Credentials and Masters Program out of OC?
Do any education or CAS majors know which UC (or any school outside OC?) is good for the multiple-subject teaching credential/master's combined program? I don't want to go to CSUF after my bachelor's.

Parking Eastside Parking
Genuine question, WHY do people honk at you as you’re parking? Don’t get me wrong, parking is a HUGE pain in the a$$ to find. But why honk as I’m parking into a spot? I had two guys honk (same car) at me as I was backing into a spot. Yes I was blocking both sides of traffic for no more than a few seconds by the entrance where the motorcycles are parked (good spot so I can beat the rush out). The people leaving actually gave me space to back in (I hope your gas is always full) but the going in traffic not as patient. I commute from an hour away, I get to school well before class. I’ve seen people struggle to back in but definitely didn’t take much time at all. They honked at me, then made faces as they passed me (two guys and I’m a girl alone now scared they’re gonna do something to my car). I would be annoyed if someone blocked my path but I get that we’re all just trying to park. No point in being rude, like I’m sorry you have to go find another spot. I’m sorry for the rant, I’m honestly really unhappy at this school and the people aren’t kind. This isn’t the first time I’ve been honked at while parking. The last time this happened I had my signal on as someone was backing out and the girl behind me idk what her deal was. This time it was just an open spot I was backing into. I just don’t get it.

Buy/Sell Be careful AMWAY/BWW recruiters
I wasn’t going to say anything, but over this school year and last year, I was approached by 3 people trying to be friendly or invite me to a workshop. One girl tried to get my contact and at first I thought she wanted to be my friend, she complimented my shoes. However, when trying to build a relationship with me, she asked if I was open to a business opportunity in text. I asked for more and ultimately, I found out it was Amway. I think it’s so weird what these people do, with hiding their intentions about the company and what they do. I thought she wanted to be geniune friends, but they do this to everyone. Fast forward to this school year, I was approached by another person when I was sitting at the outside tables. The latest one was this guy opening up to me about how his mentor hasn’t worked a job because of this opportunity. And he talked about his personal development and how he grew his finances, getting a good job. He asked if I wanted to attend a resume workshop, so I was like skeptical, but I agreed to attend. I go in, and lo and behold towards the end they start talking about entrepreneurship, how AI is taking over, and how people are getting laid off, and how building this business helped their lives. They have the same presentation with familiar faces, meaning they were the same people from Amway, BWW. It’s funny how one of their values is transparency when they lack it from the very beginning. I think I had enough of this.

Academic Advising/Counseling Delaying Graduation For An Internship?
Should I delay my graduation by one semester to complete an internship at one of the Big Four accounting firms? I would need to postpone graduation to meet their eligibility requirements. I already have a winter internship lined up for the upcoming busy season, so I’m not sure what I would do during the extra semester. Would it be worth pursuing a minor in Finance, or would I be better off graduating on time? I’d appreciate any advice on whether delaying graduation for another internship would be beneficial for my career.

Other What happens with your enrollment fee after being rescinded?
I was rescinded a month after paying the $250 enrollment fee, and I was pretty bummed out. I plan on reapplying next term, but I was wondering what happens with the payment. Do I have to pay another 250 for next enrollment? I'm assuming the non-refundable rule has no exceptions, so I would just like to know more about it.

Academic Advising/Counseling Out-of-state transfer credits from Dallas College to CSUF
I'm currently at Dallas College in Texas and hoping to transfer to CSUF for Accounting in Fall 2027.
I'm trying to figure out how many of my credits will actually transfer toward the 60-unit requirement. ASSIST doesn't seem to help since I'm coming from an out-of-state college, and TES mostly shows course equivalencies, so I'm still unsure which credits will actually count.
I emailed CSUF Admissions, but they said they don't offer pre-admission counseling and recommended those same resources. And Transfer staff have no appointments available for the next 2 months.
My family is moving to California next summer, so I'm wondering if attending a local California community college and meeting with a transfer counselor could help me review my Dallas College credits and plan the remaining classes.
Has anyone transferred from an out-of-state college to CSUF? How did you verify your credits, and is there a reliable way to figure this out before applying? Any advice would be appreciated!

Academic Advising/Counseling CSUF CS Transfer Students — How Difficult Is It to Graduate on Time?
I’m deciding between CSUF and SJSU for Computer Science and would appreciate hearing from current students or recent graduates, especially transfer students.
For those who are currently in or have graduated from CSUF’s CS program:
Were you able to graduate within your planned timeline?
How difficult was it to enroll in the required upper-division CS courses?
Did course availability or prerequisites ever delay your graduation?
Do you think the department has improved or gotten worse in recent years?
I’m particularly interested in the experiences of community college transfers aiming to finish their bachelor’s degree in about two years.
I’d appreciate honest experiences and advice. Thank you!

Hi, all! Please help a student out and take this survey for my class if you are 18 years old or older. It should take only about 10 minutes and replies are anonymous. Thank you!

Prof/Class Inquiry GE electives to take
Next semester is my last semester before graduating, and I was wondering if anyone has recommendations for easy general electives at CSUF? I’m hoping to take some classes with a lighter workload for my last semester. Any class or professor recommendations would be appreciated! :)

Academic Advising/Counseling M.S. in counseling
Hii! I recently graduated and was thinking of doing a masters in counseling next fall at csuf, can anyone who got admitted this fall tell me what the process is like? I just finished my personal statement (which I hope is strong enough) and am going to reach out to professors and my old supervisor for LOR. What is it they specifically look for and what is the interview like?
