I recently read that feral hemp is sometimes used to develop hearty strains. I live in an area with a lot of WWII offspring feral hemp that grows in some extreme conditions. I could fill buckets of seeds just collecting within a mile of my property. At other times, pollen would also be in abundance.

Would seeds or pollen be of interest to any breeders? I have zero interest in making money. It would also probably violate some reddit rule to solicit a give away of seeds. So I offer this as a quest for knowledge.

That said, it would be fun to contribute to the breeding community, especially if it resulted in a viable strain.

Anyone bred or collected pollen same room as their flowering plants

I pollinated 1 branch of this beautiful girl but because of plant restraints I wasn't able to select the male . But hes from the same batch of seeds as the mom .

I plan to do the same thing and pollinated one branch of each female again this grow.

I want to continue to do this for a few more rounds . Hoping to lock in similar beauty of this mother on down the line .

She also is very potent and tasty .

I dont have any experience breeding and im just doing this for my own supply of nice plants to grow . 🌼 🌸 🪴

It was an outdoor plant that produced very dark nice tiger striped beans. Pollen was frozen 7 months ago and I used the same batch (4 months ago) on a previous indoor grow and those germinated with no issues. Same process as before, individual vials froze, remove, then room temp, then apply.

The way I germinate is to soak seeds in water for 18-48 hours. Once I see the seed slightly crack I plant the seed. Never had an issue before. Seeds have always cracked within 48 hours.

Dried the plant for 2 weeks, harvested the seeds, let them dry out for a week, and none of 10 I dropped germinated.

Photo attached is my current indoor grow that I germinated with the same batch of frozen pollen 12 days ago. And it looks like it's making seed.

Any idea why none of the 10 seeds germinated?

As the total says where the best places for some fair priced African or Indian landrace seeds. Don't have to be just from those two locals, jus want some stand out, older strains that people or dispensaries aren't selling . My wife and I don't care for candy or cookie crap so much. I'm fixing to build a second room for jus breeding hopefully because I'm very ill and starting making full blown r..s.o and would like some REAL meds. Thank fellow enthusiast.

After experiencing what I did today here on Reddit, it became prudent for me to get off my ass and make a subreddit of my own; I would like it to be as cool and laidback(yet RULE following) as cannabisbreeding! Ideally, a "sister sub" of sorts.

The only caveats to this new sub would be: it is for Daydream Seeds pack holders/for those growing my gear. You would still be able to post other gear on the sub, but you would have needed to show proof you have a pack of my seeds in order to be invited.

So, I need help. Lol. I need 2 mods I would think, it'd be a fairly quiet sub overall; so probably pretty easy to manage.

If im approaching this the wrong way, please steer me in the right direction. I don't want to give the impression this is some exclusive club, just a specific place for some specific Genetics. I will gladly render help/advice to those growing/posting gear that is not mine. (Degreed in Horticulture/Crop Science, growing for 30+yrs I love to help when I can!!)

The Plan: keep the Tall stretchy phenos of all seeds, 4 TD, 2 Kat, 2 SG. I'll keep 2 TD males that are similar in growth etc. I'll flower(start 12/12) at wk 5 to 6 from seed. Weed out the losers, and keep the above. 3gal coco/salts/led.

The Goal: create a SOLID array of various phenos of the SD strain in Reg. PhotoSeed form. Trying to get it back to '07 levels of stank and effects(my introduction to SD, no bag could contain it). I have a jar of SD F6 from TD that lets me know his version has TRUE potential, I just wish the Potency was a bit more, otherwise the effects are SOLID and the stank is FOR REAL! Literally about to blaze a J of it right now!

Hi All! Just reverse clones from five Durban Thai Berry fem autoflowers from Hoku Seed Co! This is my first time cloning and first time reversing, second grow ever, so I’m pretty stoked it worked!

If anyone has suggestions for collecting pollenand storing pollen I’d really appreciate hearing them! I’d like to hold onto it for future grows and figure it’s best to collect, dry with a hydroscopic material, and freeze in an airtight container.

Would love to hear any tips and tricks for making this straightforward and easy! 😁

The White Pine from Huckleberry Hill is a cross of (White Thorn Rose X Paradise pine). She has & consistently expresses many desirable traits from the white thorn Rose. Early blooming, fast finish , strong structure, low maintenance, produces well , wash potential,frosty chunky buds with nice bag appeal, adequate mold & pest resistance. Her Terp Profile is very complex & layered with many different notes coming together. Many different fruits like a fruit Melody/punch , floral, umami , pine ,earthy & fuel. I’ve never smelled anything even remotely close to it.

I pollinated her up with personal all time fam fav the recessive Cat piss expression of the SSH F2 linage. The effects are incredible & the smells are intense. A sniff of the female flowers stings the nose immediately with sharp ammonia & opens the eyes wide & bright w/ intense lemon followed up with subtle undertones of incense & mild earthy grape sweetness.

1,2, and 5 all look promising for vigor, symmetry, and sturdy, with average stretch at day 12 from seed.
5 isn’t as visually appealing with a bit of a mutation maybe?🤔

4 is a runt and kinda ugly. It looks about 4 days from seed and one leaf may be wrinkly from the seed not easily detaching?

6 is stretching for the light no matter where I put it. The length of these seedling petioles lead me to believe the internode spacing will be somewhat lengthy.

Its been a pretty awful fall for outdoor in my area. Lots of cold, foggy and rainy days for most of September. I lost tons to mold(mostly rootbeer and cola)

Glad to get some harvested finally, but pretty disappointed at the terps on the purple strawberry and blueberry afghan. Out of ten plants of each variety not a hint of berry aroma on either, maybe the cure will bring it out but I dont have high hopes. Mountain sap and black afghan are the winners for yield, mold resistance and aroma.

Not pictured are rootbeer and cola. Both are moldy mess and the rootbeer was some of the worst ganja ive grown in a long time, airy flower that have no smell and started to mold immediately before the rains happened. Maybe in Cali or another climate its worth growing but its absolutely trash IMO.

I hand pollinated branches on most of them. Also let some of my very old cut of Hindu skunk cuts get open pollinated, hopefully something good comes out of it.
