Discussion 🗣️ My ridiculous concert tracking sheet. This sub helped me start it 4 years ago, and I have since built a full dashboard and charts! Got any suggestions to improve it, or other concert trackers I should see?

Note: There are tabs on the bottom with links to charts.

My original post from June 2022 asking about similar spreadsheets: https://www.reddit.com/r/Concerts/comments/vi8bp9/google_sheets_to_track_concerts_youve_attended/

If you're interested in concert videos, I post them to my Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/TofuVic

Have you seen any of these artists live? Also, I will happily take recommendations of similar artists. Thank you and take care!

This is pretty great. There is a ton of info here.

I'm curious why you double up on festivals under the Headliner slot and the Show Name slot. Wouldn't the festival's actual headliner work in that first slot?

My spreadsheet is not as extensive, but I also started it in 1993 and simply never considered tracking merchandise.

Great observation and question! I did consider that at one point, but I don't always go to festivals for the headliners and may skip the headliners completely, so I opted to list the acts I actually saw in the "Openers / Acts" column. This also allows me to list the name of the festival, which I did consider listing in the "Show Name" column, per a suggestion from u/anotherdumbcasualty.

I only went to my first concert 8 years ago, and I already have a few missing merchandise info from before I started this sheet!

Interesting viewpoint. My spreadsheet is just set up to list acts chronologically. So even if I skip a headliner, the last band I watched is in the #1 slot. It's not perfect, but I have never run any data picking out headliners specifically.

I just use setlist.fm. This is cool tho.

I've done a similar document for my raves since 2022, but all I have are the same ones you have in your General tab, city and venue.

It's small enough that you can still fit it into a screenshot. But as you can probably tell, the amount of gigs I'm doing has gone WAY UP, with eight booked through to May. 2026 is going to be a pretty crazy year as a relative newbie to this

The year-to-year progression is so cool to look at in a sheet... haha

Amazing, love the detail you put into it including fees etc. Tips are tips to the artist?

Almost always, yes. Occasionally, it'll be split between the artist and the touring band members, tour manager, etc.

Thanks for the compliment! I'm open to any feedback.

would you ever consider doing a tutorial on making a spreadsheet like this? I tried to make something similar but it hasn't quite worked out for me

Hi! Because so many people reached out to me about my concert tracker spreadsheet, I created a template that you can use: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/115C-Vmge6Dm-pVpgKzSrBHbzArQqUpV2R6ILPzhl8vE/edit?usp=drivesdk

There is a tab titled "ReadMe (Instructions)" to get you started, but there are a lot of fragile formulas, so just move slowly until you get more used to it. Feel free to DM me on Instagram if I can help: https://www.instagram.com/TofuVic

Take care!
