MOD POST Human Trafficking Posts

Because of the recent firestorms, guerilla warfare, and general nonsense involving the word "trafficking," we have decided as a team that we will no longer allow submissions with that particular word in the title. It is too controversial, causes too many fights, and it is an overused buzzword meant to generate upvotes and views.

This rule only applies to the title of the submission. Nobody is being censored. If you want to talk about trafficking in the body of text, that's fine. We are simply addressing the use of the word in the title. If you submit a post with the word "trafficking" in the title, it will be deleted immediately. You will be allowed to repost it after retitling the submission. If you use the word in the retitling, the submission will be deleted and you will be banned.

We made this decision together as a team to be fair to everyone participating in this subreddit. We are in the process of revamping the rules and this will be included in the new list. For now, a pinned post will have to suffice.

We encourage each of you to visit the Polaris Project to learn more about the myths and facts surrounding human trafficking. They are a phenomenal organization that are very active in the fight against human trafficking and modern-day slavery.

17 male just witnessed a guy masturbating looking at me in HEB bathrooms

• Upvotes

I’m 17, and something happened to me today that made me extremely angry in the moment, but now that I’m home, I think it affected me more than I initially realized.
At around 7:30 PM, I went to HEB with a friend because we were buying some hand wraps and water before going to train. I went into the restroom because I needed to adjust my durag. My friend waited for me right outside the restroom entrance while I went in.
While I was adjusting my durag, there was a man who had been standing near the electric hand dryer since I got there. He was less than a meter away from me and kept staring at me. I noticed it, but at first I didn’t think too much about it. Where I live, it’s not very common to see someone wearing a durag, so I just assumed he was staring because of that.
Then he moved over to a urinal. It looked like he was going to pee, but he kept staring at me. That’s when I realized he wasn’t actually just using the urinal. He was masturbating while looking at me.
I was extremely disgusted, but more than anything, I was fucking angry. I confronted him and threatened to beat the shit out of him. I train MMA and have competed before, so I knew that if I let my anger take over, things could get much worse. I didn’t want to get myself into trouble or actually hurt him, so I left the restroom with my friend instead.
I immediately told the HEB employees that there was a man masturbating at the urinal. They went in, got him, and escorted him out of the store.
While they were taking him outside, he looked directly at me and shook his head from side to side, almost like he was disappointed that I had told someone. I don’t know why, but that gesture has really stuck with me.
At the time, I was mostly furious. Looking back, I think I was scared too, but the anger was so strong that it was basically all I could feel.
After that, I still went to train like I had planned. I trained normally, lifted weights, and for that entire time I basically stopped thinking about what had happened. I felt relatively normal.
It wasn’t until I got home that everything changed.
I got into bed, everything was quiet, and suddenly the whole situation came back into my head. I started replaying it over and over, and I began shaking. I was still angry and disgusted, but now I also felt scared. I was tired and wanted to sleep, but I couldn’t because my mind kept going back to that restroom.
Eventually, I talked to my mom and told her what happened and how I was feeling. It helped to tell her, but after we talked, she told me I needed to wash the dishes.
I know that to her it was probably just a chore I was already supposed to do, but at that moment it felt really weird. I had just told her that an adult man had masturbated while staring at me, that I was shaking, and that I couldn’t sleep, and literally the last thing I cared about at that moment was the dishes. It made me feel like what had just happened to me, and how I was feeling about it, was immediately pushed aside.
Right now I’m feeling a lot of different things at once. I’m disgusted whenever I think about that man. I’m angry. Part of me is still scared. And another part of me is worried because that HEB isn’t even that far from where I live.
And honestly, it’s not even just about me anymore. I keep thinking that if this man was willing to do something like that to a 17-year-old in a public restroom, he could do it to someone else.
Tomorrow I’m thinking about going back with my mom and talking to management or security to see if they can at least preserve the security camera footage from outside the restroom and from when they escorted him out.
I don’t really know exactly what I’m looking for by posting this. I think I mostly just want to talk to people who have experienced something similar, or who can help me understand why I was able to keep going with my day, go train, and feel relatively normal immediately afterward, but then hours later, when I got home and finally lay down, I started shaking and everything suddenly hit me.
Is it normal to react like this after something like this happens? Has anyone else experienced something similar?

Unexplainable encounter while with my friends

So me and my buddies were sitting in my Cybertruck in a basically empty parking lot in Corpus Christi, by the Vitamin Shop off Airline and SPID. We had been sitting there for probably an hour just listening to music and talking.

About 45 minutes in, we turned around and noticed three people — one man and two women, probably in their mid-40s — standing behind the truck and staring at us. At first we didn’t think much of it, but after a couple minutes they were still there watching the truck. The man was on the phone basically the entire time.

They had originally parked over by Cane’s and walked probably 60 meters over to where we were. They ended up standing around behind our truck for probably 15 minutes. Eventually I turned the truck on, turned the lights on, and started moving. As soon as we did that, they started walking away. The guy seemed kind of distraught once we started moving, and all three of them started acting really weird, like they were trying to casually get away without making it obvious.

We were curious about what they were doing, so we followed them from a distance. They went back to their car at Cane’s, got in, and started driving around the Target parking lot really strangely. They were turning their hazards on, making random turns, stopping in weird places, and it seemed like they were trying to lose us.

Eventually I lost sight of them for a little bit, and apparently they thought we were gone. That’s when they drove probably 800–1,200 yards away and pulled up next to a van. We saw them get out by the van and change into different clothes. There also seemed to be more people involved than just those original three.

I have no idea what they were actually doing and I’m not saying they were definitely committing a crime or anything. The whole thing was just really weird, especially because they walked all the way over from Cane’s, stood behind our occupied truck for around 15 minutes while the guy was on the phone, immediately left when we moved, acted evasive when we followed them, and then went to a van and changed clothes once they thought they’d lost us.

Met a creepy guy at the new Street Fighter movie

So Friday night me and some friends went to see the new Street Fighter movie. While waiting in the lobby before the movie, this random guy who none of us knew walked up and started talking to us.

He was taller with short, black hair and facial hair, and wearing a long, black coat (not quite trench coat length, but getting there). Had to be somewhere around 25. He was honestly kinda hot (which he probably uses to his advantage). He asked us what our favorite characters were and then started going on about how much he liked Chun Li because of her thighs, and saying how he wanted her to crush him with them. Just being generally weird and creepy.

At this point I'm already pretty uncomfortable and want to leave the conversation. But then out of nowhere he starts talking about how he has a Nazi family heritage. Just decided to throw in a fun fact. Halfway through talking about that, a group of young girls walk past to go to their movie. He stops midsentence and completely pivots his attention to them, and the first question out of his mouth is "how old are you girls" and they respond "18". He completely forgets about us and starts talking to them instead.

At this point me and my friends walk away quickly cause this dude was just giving off really creepy, predatory vibes and we wanted nothing to do with him. Didn't run into him again and never want to. I hope those girls stayed safe.

Guy crept down my driveway at night while I unloaded groceries.

I (50F) live in a very safe town in Southern California, so being out alone at night never bothered me.

This encounter happened at my home about 12 years ago.

I had just come back from the store around 11:00pm (I like to grocery shop at night, when it's less crowded). My husband was smoking a cigarette on the stoop, so we chatted for a few minutes before he went off to bed and I started unloading the car.

As I was going outside for the final load, I hear a man's voice ask if he could help me unload my stuff; that he was a police officer and that he had been driving past our house and I looked like I needed help.

We have just a porch light (no street lights) and it was a moonless night, so I couldn't see shit.

It took my eyes adjusting to the dark before I saw him. He had very dark skin and was wearing dark clothes, so he blended into the night really easily.

As he was saying this, I looked to the top of our driveway where the road was.

If he actually was a cop, he would have parked his vehicle at the top of our driveway, but there was no car. He would've made noise walking. He would not be creeping up on people late at night.

I looked back at him and cheerfully replied, "No thanks! I've got it!" and slammed the trunk and went inside and bolted the door.

I don't know if he had been hiding in the bushes at the top of the driveway or was just walking by in the dark. I don't think he had seen my husband bc the stoop is shielded from the road by trees and bushes. He thought I was alone.

It's one of the creepiest things that's ever happened to me.

Stranger in an SUV.

Last week I took the early bus to work. It was about 6.30 on a bright but quiet Monday morning in an upmarket neighborhood in Cape Town.

My place of work is a 200m walk from the bus stop. It is a straight path over a two lane bridge - one lane for each direction of traffic [ coming or going over the bridge ].

My first mistake was being a woman. My second mistake was feeling carefree, i.e. : wearing earphones, singing and not being alert to my surroundings. My third mistake was engaging the Stanger.

As I reached the crest of the bridge, an SUV with the passenger side window rolled down, stopped next to me.

This shocked me. I took out one earphone to hear what this clean, stocky, short and short haired, bespecaled farmer looking 50 year old man had to say to me. And he said, " Come, I'll give you a lift."

I put my earphone back in and I turned away and continued walking, while replying in a pissed tone and with a shooing motion. He slowly drives on. A few steps later, I shout as he drives past, " That wasn't smart, you (swear in local vernacular).

He reverses to where I'm walking and calmly says, "What did you say?".

"Why the hell are you talking to a woman walking alone on bridge? What are you doing?" I spat that part out, I was angry! GBV is a huge and present problem in my country.

He threw his arms up and then drove away. It was weird. And after reflection, it's very creepy.

the scariest night of my life

Me (20 Female) and my friend (21 Female) experienced something crazy when we were roughly 16 y/o. my friend we'll call her C, she lived with me and my family while we were in school due to home life circumstances and we had lived together for about a year at this point, we would always go outside and walk around the neighborhood, between 8pm and 4am (this is important) we would go outside when we were bored, wanted fresh air or wanted to smoke the devils lettuce so this time was no different

before all of this happened me my dad and C were on the way back from shopping, and I told him that when we got home we wanted to go for a walk and he said "i don't think ya'll should go for a walk tonight, something is telling me that it just isn't a good idea" and me being 16 and stubborn I got upset and was arguing with him about how "we go on night walks all of the time" and "why can't we go on a walk this specific night, it's only 8 o'clock so it's not like we're going out super late" and he told us he would rather us not but that he wasn't going to argue so to just do what we want.

we ended up going on a walk around 8:30-9ish. usually we would bring my uncles pit bull rebel with us because she's highly trained in case anything were to happen, but he was home so she was with him this night so i just brought my dog onyx(small solid black American cocker spaniel) so she could go in a walk too (also important) we were walking down the road like normal and theirs a curve where and starting at that curve and about like 40 feet after theirs no houses just woods on both sides on the road and behind the curve was a field

we went to our usual spot with the woods on both sides of the road and we stopped to smoke and 2 cars drive past us so we put the stuff in our pockets and stood off the side of the road to not be in the cars way the first one drove normally and slowed down because of the curve coming up and then another car drove by afterwards but while the car was passing us it went way slower, at the time we didn't pay much attention to it because people new to the neighborhood usually went a lot slower because the curve is about a sharp 90 degree turn.

i did take note of the car because i'm usually pretty observant, it was a black car kinda like a Camry but what stood out to me was the windows they were extremely tinted you couldn't see inside, we didn't think about this car until after the whole situation was over, at this point we had smoked and nothing was out of the ordinary to us, we then went to go walk back to my house and in the curve standing off of the road was a man, we didn't know where he came from he was just standing there, which was off because around that curve was just woods and a field and when we came around he was just standing there staring at us, not as if he was walking and then stopped when he saw us, he was standing there just staring at us not moving,

at this point i had sobered up faster then ever. we kinda slowed down and just stopped walking and stood where we were, looking at him, he didn't move where he was standing. onyx started growling and just stood in front of us, she never growls at anything she's a very sweet dog and usually walks up to anyone she sees so i had a sinking gut feeling something was wrong, he lifted his arm and I noticed he had something big in his hand then a bright light hit us, it was a flash light one of those old big ones with the handles and the yellow tint, he stood still and all we could see was light, and somewhat of a shadow of his figure behind it.

my vision went away for a second because it was dark outside so i had to adjust to the light being in my face, at this point in time i started to back up slowly still facing him and watching, C followed and we were slowly walking backwards and onyx just stood there watching him, he then started walking towards us onyx stood her ground and didn't move.

we then started walking a bit faster and he was starting to move faster to the point he was gaining on us, he got close to onyx and tried to grab her and C walked up towards him to try and grab onyx and i yelled "she's fine she can bite his hand off" "come here" and he got close and touched her and she whined loud and ran towards us she wasn't on a leash because she's very well trained and doesn't go more then 5 feet away from me. we had turned around at this point and started speed walking but i was constantly looking back to keep and eye on him.

i looked at C and i said "run." so we ran and C followed me and so did onyx, and then the man started running after us. we then ducked off the right and hid behind an RV at the first house we got to he didn't see where we went because the woods blocked his view. at this point we were running farther from my house because he was blocking the one way to it. we hid behind the RV and crouched down, i had onyx between my knees holding her collar hoping she didn't make a sound we were dead silent holding our breath just looking at each-other and listening very carefully, we then heard him speak he was on the road right in front of the RV we were behind.

he was on the phone with someone, and we heard his say "they were just here, i lost them" "it was 2 girls" and C looked at me and whispered "what do we do" i put my finger over my mouth motioning for her to hush. then we heard him say "wait." then he went silent. at this point i was sure he heard her and i was thinking of every possible thing we would do in this moment to keep us alive. i sat there listening and then off to the left of me where the woods were i heard a crack of a tree branch.

we were at the house of this lady i met the summer before with her granddaughter and she was sweet and i knew i could trust her. we could see her back porch and i grabbed C's arm and ran to the porch i didn't knock at first i could see a bunch of burly motorcycle men playing cards inside we stood there for a moment because i didn't want to bother them and still thought maybe I'm crazy even though all of this had happened then we heard foot steps coming from behind us. i then started banding in the door screaming for help, the guys all looked at us and one came to the door and asked if everything was okay. i immediately told him a man was following us and trying to kidnap us and that we needed help.

he let us in and all of the guys grabbed their guns and all went outside and searched the whole neighborhood when we got inside we told the the guy who opened the door everything that had happened. i then called my mom after several tries because their was no service and got ahold of her, we told her what happened and she came and picked us up from the house, when she got there all of the men were back they searched the whole neighborhood and couldn't find anyone. my mom thanked them.

we went home and my mom called and filed a police report and the cops said they would keep an eye out but that it was odd because we lived in a quiet neighborhood with a bunch of older people and families, a relatively safe neighborhood. after that night we never went on another walk again past dark even in the daytime there for awhile and my dad told me "i knew something bad was going to happen i had a gut feeling" and from then on out i never doubted my dads gut feelings.

i'm still not sure what would have happened if he had got to us, what his plan was, for the next few weeks i kept replaying it over in my mind wondering what would have happened if he got us, and later on i thought maybe he was a sex trafficker considering he was talking on the phone with someone else so he wasn't the only one in on it, and what if it was more than 2 people. i still think about it sometimes just sitting and wondering what could have been had we done anything different, i still wonder what i could have done different.

ps. i'm sorry if the story is long this is my first time writing a post i read a lot of them but never write but i know people appreciate details and context so i tried to do my best at that. thank you for reading

I still wonder what that man wanted from me

Hi, I’m a M29. I was listening to the case of Jason Jolkowski on Payton Moreland’s podcast, and it reminded me of something similar that happened to me, and for some reason I never told anyone. I only told the story to my wife a few months ago when I saw that case on the podcast.

When I was around 16-17 years old, I used to work in an Italian restaurant in Nicosia, Cyprus, called DaPaolo.

My shifts finished at midnight, around 12AM. Sometimes the delivery guy would drive me home, but it was quite common for me to just walk home. It was like a 15-20 minute walk.

One night, as I was walking home, I was passing through a quiet street and a man around his 50s in a car that was in bad condition, as I remember, drove past me. (Old car, not taken care of, and either the windshield or the driver’s window was broken. I can’t remember.) He slowed down and looked at me with a weird smile.

He offered me a ride, and I rejected it, but he insisted, asking me multiple times politely, and I kept insisting, telling him no, it’s fine, I just want to walk, thank you.

He drove past and around 100 or 200 meters ahead, he did a U-turn and came back. He reached towards the passenger door and asked me again to get in the car and that he would drive me home.
There were obviously too many red flags at this point, so I insisted again and told him no, it’s fine, I just want to walk, and please don’t ask again.
At that point, he drove away, did a U-turn again and drove past me. This time he didn’t stop, but he kept looking at me.

Remembering it now, I’m not sure if I was scared, but I definitely felt that something was wrong and didn’t want to get in his car. I sometimes wonder what would have happened if I had accepted his offer.
When we listen to crime stories, we often ask ourselves, “Why would someone get into a stranger’s car?”

But now I can understand that in the moment, especially when you are a kid, you don’t really think much of the dangers that can occur. You might see it as someone offering you a convenient ride home and treat it as an ordinary interaction.

I also believe that as a teenage guy, you kind of feel invincible, like nothing can really happen to you and nobody can hurt you. You don’t always realise how vulnerable you actually are until you get older and look back at situations like this.

Stay safe out there and never get into a stranger’s car, and thank you for reading.

24(m), woman asked for money on date

Hello I'm Jesse from Argentina and American living there...

I had a odd weird and bad experience with a girl that I will not dox so call her "P", this lady told me she was 26 years old I didn't mind because I am 24 male and she told me she wasn't 26 she was 38 years old and that took me completely by surprise and it was a big redflag, and she was weird as fuck because she kept looking around while talking like she was eyeing something.. it was odd and annoying because I told her can u look at me ? As an Autistic man I thought maybe she was Autistic but she told me no, then she told me to buy this coffee/chocolate mocha with marshmallows that costs 54 thousand Argentine pesos which in Freedom dollars are like 35 dollars...

She then asked me to go to the BBVA bank and said I need 40 thousand pesos which is like 26 dollars

When I told her I don't have enough money like that around me or my wallet she got angry threw her coffee on the ground and started being abusive to me and I wanted to leave immediately and she couldn't let me go so I immediately told her to BACK OFF and she left immediately

I got so angry and I wanted to cry hard because of how frustrated I was with this situation paralyzed me

To this day if I have a date it will but WILL be split checks and avoid these kind of women and knowing the cues because like I said i am autistic and I have hard time know cues on some situations I may be blind as a bat about it ..

Potentially creepy encounter in Leavick Colorado.

Me and a friend went to hike Mt. Sherman in Colorado, near Fairplay. At the base of Mt. Sherman is an abononed mining town called Leavick that is a ways away from the nearest road. To get to the mountain you have to take a bumpy dirt road into the mountains to get their, we ended up driving on this road for about 30 minutes and we began to wonder if we where even in the right place. We saw a group of 4 people, 1 older man, and 3 older women by a pulled over subaru outback. We stopped on the dirt road next to them and rolled the window down to ask one of them if we where going the right way. One of the ladies was really nice, but she sounded like if someone was trying to act nice, just felt unaturally forced. She eventually said that the mountain was right down the road, and me and my friend both looked down the road where the 2 parking lots where empty. The lady said "looks like nobodys up there, you boys will be all alone up there". Me and my friend got ourselves out of the conversation and went a little farther down the road to the parking lot, but halfway there I got a strange like 6th sense fight or flight response. My stomach sank and everything in my body told me it was a bad idea, so we did a 3 point turn and went back on the road. On the way back, before we got to the pulled over subaru, a van started coming our way, in the van was the man that was with the 4 women, and one of the women in the passenger seat. My friend pointed it out and I thought nothing of it, but then we went by the subaru where the 2 other women where gone, and the trunk was wide open. We got our asses out of there and processed how creepy everything was on the way back.

Nothing weird necessarily happened but seeing the guy with one of the women coming are way, right after having a weird encounter with them was unsettling. After I spent hours looking around the internet for any other weird encounters in the area, there was not a single encounter like this. I'm sharing this story in hopes to just understand if anyone else has an experience of their own in the area or if the people we encountered did or didn't mean any harm.

Creepy guy at the gym with a magnifying glass

I was on the left most treadmill with about eight empty treadmills to my right. This guy, in a button down dress shirt and dress pants/shoes, came over and stood on the machine next to me, pulled out a big magnifying glass and leaned over his machines bars, over mine, to look at the video I was watching on my phone while I walked.

I looked at him, obviously disgusted and he turned to look at his own machine with the magnifine glass but then went back to looking at my phone, my keys, water bottle (which were in the cup holder) and the settings I had on on my machine.

I'm not a confrontational person and I was so wierded out I just glared at him and he eventually walked off. I only had five minuets left so I finished my walk and saw him sitting, legs crossed staring into nothing on one of the machines as I walked out.

I don't know what to think about it. It was so off putting and baffling. Who brings a magnifine glass to a gym and walks around inspecting people with it. He didn't say a word to me. I left without telling anyone anything but I'm thinking I should let them know about it when I go in today.

It's a small city gym, not a large chain. Not sure how to feel about it. Im deffinely not attractive enough for him to have been oogling me or anything like that, but still creepy.

my vision went away for a second because it was dark outside so i had to adjust to the light being in my face, at this point in time i started to back up slowly still facing him and watching, C followed and we were slowly walking backwards and onyx just stood there watching him, he then started walking towards us onyx stood her ground and didn't move. we then started walking a bit faster and he was starting to move faster to the point he was gaining on us, he got close to onyx and tried to grab her and C walked up towards him to try and grab onyx and i yelled "she's fine she can bite his hand off" "come here" and he got close and touched her and she whined loud and ran towards us she wasn't on a leash because she's very well trained and doesn't go more then 5 feet away from me. we had turned around at this point and started speed walking but i was constantly looking back to keep and eye on him and i looked at C and i said "run." so we ran and C followed me and so did onyx, and then the man started running after us. we then ducked off the right and hid behind an RV at the first house we got to he didn't see where we went because the woods blocked his view. at this point we were running farther from my house because he was blocking the one way to it. we hid behind the RV and crouched down, i had onyx between my knees holding her collar hoping she didn't make a sound we were dead silent holding our breath just looking at each-other and listening very carefully, we then heard him speak he was on the road right in front of the RV we were behind and he was on the phone with someone, and we heard his say "they were just here, i lost them" "it was 2 girls" and C looked at me and whispered "what do we do" i put my finger over my mouth motioning for her to hush. then we heard him say "wait." then he went silent. at this point i was sure he heard her and i was thinking of every possible thing we would do in this moment to keep us alive. i sat there listening and then off to the left of me where the woods were i heard a crack of a tree branch, we were at the house of this lady i met the summer before with her granddaughter and she was sweet and i knew i could trust her. we could see her back porch and i grabbed C's arm and ran to the porch i didn't knock at first i could see a bunch of burly motorcycle men playing cards inside we stood there for a moment because i didn't want to bother them and still thought maybe I'm crazy even though all of this had happened then we heard foot steps coming from behind us. i then started banding in the door screaming for help, the guys all looked at us and one came to the door and asked if everything was okay. i immediately told him a man was following us and trying to kidnap us and that we needed help.

he let us in and all of the guys grabbed their guns and all went outside and searched the whole neighborhood when we got inside we told the the guy who opened the door everything that had happened. i then called my mom after several tries because their was no service and got ahold of her, we told her what happened and she came and picked us up from the house, when she got there all of the men were back they searched the whole neighborhood and couldn't find anyone. my mom thanked them. and then we went home and my mom called and filed a police report and the cops said they would keep an eye out but that it was odd because we lived in a quiet neighborhood with a bunch of older people and families, a relatively safe neighborhood. after that night we never went on another walk again past dark even in the daytime there for awhile and my dad told me "i knew something bad was going to happen i had a gut feeling" and from then on out i never doubted my dads gut feelings.

i'm still not sure what would have happened if he had got to us, what his plan was, for the next few weeks i kept replaying it over in my mind wondering what would have happened if he got us, and later on i thought maybe he was a sex trafficker considering he was talking on the phone with someone else so he wasn't the only one in on it, and what if it was more than 2 people. i still think about it sometimes just sitting and wondering what could have been had we done anything different, i still wonder what i could have done different.

ps. i'm sorry if the story is long this is my first time writing a post i read a lot of them but never write but i know people appreciate details and context so i tried to do my best at that. thank you for reading

Barstow and the Van

This happened a couple of years ago and it still remains one of the scariest moments.

My family and I were driving on the 1-15 leaving Vegas and through Barstow. We have done this drive so many times and usually stop at a crowded gas station to fill up and keep going.

This time around, we had filled up gas in Baker so decided to keep going and not stop at our normal gas. But then not a minute later, my dog seemed like she had to go bathroom so we ended up pulling over not longer after to let her out.

I could literally see the interstate but we had pulled off further as my dog needs to walk a little before she goes. There was nothing around us and just looked like desert landscape. No cars or anything.

Suddenly out of no where, a very very beat up old van that I hadn’t seen comes tearing over towards us. Not from the freeway but like from the desert. Like I’m not kidding it felt like 70 mph but I am sure less than that but in moment it felt like a movie where a car is coming and you don’t know what to do.

I don’t know what instinct saved me but I got such a bad feeling about this car, I yanked my dog who weighs almost 100 lbs and normally is as stubborn as a mule and just ran back to our car which was literally only 10 ft away but felt so far in that moment. My husband sensed what I had too and he just kicked the gas and luckily we made it back onto the freeway. I looked back and the van was stopped right where we had gotten out to take our dog bathroom.

No clue what would have happened had we stayed or had it been dark but this was still one of the most terrifying encounters I had ever had with some level of initial security thinking we were fine in daylight and in the view of the freeway.

Also, look up barstow and crime or barstow on any reddit which I wish I had before choosing a random exit to pull over on. Never again!

Weird activity

So me and my buddies were sitting in my Cybertruck in an basically empty parking lot in Corpus Christi, by the Vitamin Shop off Airline and SPID.

There was a super strange person outside my house

This all happened last night, so I’ll try my best to give you a general idea of the time. Also, apologies is this sounds ramble or disorganized. Still a bit confused.

So, my cousin often comes over to hang out with me and my sister. We are super close and usually sleep over at each other’s house. Well, it started off the same. She came over, we hung out, went to a gas station and bought some snacks. It was around 1:45 AM when we decided to play kick the can.

About ten-ish minutes into the game, I was hiding in the shadows on the side of my house.

There is a large field behind my house. It doesn’t have any trees except for at the very back of the field, there are a couple groups of trees that kind of act as a small forest. There are a lot of weeds that are about shin-height. Before the field meets our backyard, there’s a bit of a mini canal-type thing running between both areas.

out of the corner of my eye, I saw something shifting in place. Almost like a person rocking back and forth on their heels and then on their toes. I initially thought it was a weed, because it was so dark, I couldn’t really tell, but it looked so odd and was very tall to be a weed.

I approached my sister and asked for the flashlight because I needed to see something and she looked alarmed. My cousin and sister stood in the driveway while I went to investigate.

I stayed in my yard because it felt really dumb to blindly approach this thing if it was a person. I shone my flashlight at it, and it didn’t do too much because it was once again, extremely dark, though he was close enough that I could make out a figure of a person. I couldn’t really tell if they were facing me or the back of the field.

My heart started to beat really fast. I didn’t say anything and just told them to go inside. They looked extremely unsettled.

When we got inside, I went to the back door and my cousin and sister followed me. My sister was adamant that we stay inside, maybe it was just morbid curiosity, but I wanted to look again.

My sister didn’t follow, but me and my cousin went out on the porch. We are also all woman and I, myself am extremely thin so I’m not too sure why i was drawn to investigating. Before I could turn on the light at all, we heard a yell that sounded like an adult man. It was coming from the field and what I can only assume the person. It wasn’t a scream or anything, just a yell. When I shone my flashlight on the person, I could see a bit better as I got closer. The person that was rocking earlier was now hunched in a fetal position. His arms looked like they were hugging the back of his neck with his head hanging between his knees.

It looked like he was facing our direction, but not directly at our house. Just in our general direction. He hadn’t moved at all from what I could tell. It was all so deeply unsettling that we all agreed to go inside and lock all the house doors.

I genuinely don’t know what I could’ve done or if it was just some person messing with us, but when we woke up, the person was gone. Can anyone possibly explain this? Was this possibly paranoia from all sides or was it some possibly intoxicated or mentally ill person?

Edit- thanks for all your guys advice and knocking some sense into me. Let me explain why I didn’t call the cops immediately. I’m going to try to give as many details as I can.

First of all, I don’t think rationally when it com to these situations. That didn’t really cross my mind. When I was younger, I was raped by a friend of mine. Upon calling the cops, I was immediately and entirely disregarded. I was continuously gaslit and I kind of just gave up. It left me with an intense anxiety around cops and left me feeling like that if anything bad happened, I’d have to fend for myself. As irrational as it sounds, in moments of danger or high anxiety, it’s my way of maintaining control. In the moment, it often feels completely reasonable. I wasn’t helped before, why the hell would they help me now?

I don’t know if this helps, but I live in the southern US and the police where I live are often super unhelpful.

Another quick note, I am young, but I’m also drug free and don’t drink. We all saw the same thing. I hope this all helps.

I’ve been under significant stress lately, and haven’t been doing too well so maybe I exaggerated it and the yell was coming from somewhere else? I genuinely have no idea

Caught Creep Snapping Pics Of Me & Partner

BF and me were waiting for the train and I noticed a women noticing us and slowly aiming her camera in our direction.

I moved to hide behind my BF and then she slowly moved over to accommodate for my move, and slowly aimed her camera at us again. I saw her snap a pic in the reflection of her sunglasses and called her out.

She fessed up to taking pics of ‘cute couples’ to post on instagram, apologized, and said she would delete the photo.

I told her how weird that was and asked her to not post my photo on the internet. This behavior is not cool and fucking creepy.

Anyone else experience something similar? How would you handle that experience?

Strange man near my house

I could be paranoid and this doesn't have to mean anything, but the whole thing was quite strange, so I have to let it out somewhere.

My girlfriend and I (also a woman) live in rural suburbs of my hometown. There is only one more house in the area where people actually live full time, while the other 5 houses are just weekend houses and rental residences. The other houses have residents throughout the summer, and are empty in the September - May period.

The original owner of the house had one more piece of land right next to this one, and he sold it to his best friend. In the two years we've been living here, no one has ever come to mow the grass or maintain the property in any way. It turned into a large piece of overgrown bushes and weeds, and that's it. We don't have a fence yet, so the only indicator that our yard and the land next to it don't have the same owner is the fact that grass on our side is mowed, while on the other side it's over a meter tall.

So, to the actual encounter. Last week as my girlfriend was about to go to work, at around 09:50 am, we let our dog outside and she started barking immediately. Since we don't have a lot of neighbours, our dog barks whenever a stranger is somewhere near our yard, so my girlfriend rushed out and there was a man in blue pants and red t-shirt standing near one of the neughbouring houses, right above ours. She thought he was the owner of the house and said hello to him, he said hello back and she got our dog back inside to not disturb the "neighbour." We thought nothing of it because we've seen people at that particular house only once, so not enough times to actually memorize their faces.

My girlfriend went to work at 10:15 am and I stayed at home. I work from home and my shift starts at noon, so I had some time to make breakfast, have my morning coffee and get ready for my shift. As our dog, like most dogs, is an annoying little bastard whenever we try to eat in her presence, I had to let her out. It was around 10:50 am. A few minutes later she started barking like crazy. I was still in my pyjamas, but I immediately ran outside and saw the same man (blue pants, red t-shirt) on the property right next to ours, and very close to the edge where our yard begins. I was focused on my dog because at this point she was about to run into the tall grass to get to him, but when I finally caught her by her collar, I got my head up, and saw the man hiding behind a small black locust tree, peeping through the branches, looking at me.

I found it strange because he is not the owner of that property, walking through that grass is extremely difficult and risky, and if he was the owner of the house where my girlfriend first saw him, why would he "take a walk" on a completely wild piece of land. We do have a 360 security camera, so as soon as I got into the house I checked the camera and saw him walking through the grass, stopping for a second, looking back at our house over his shoulder, and then going up until he reached the main road. I've checked the camera a few more times after he disappeared, and he didn't return.

Our dog was outside most of the day, and she didn't bark so he wasn't even in the yard of that house my girlfriend first saw him at. I don't know what were his intentions, but I'm pretty sure he didn't know there was one more person living in this house, so that's why he felt comfortable approaching our property when he saw that my girlfriend left. Apart from that, what was he doing there for a whole hour? Why did he leave as soon as he saw me? And why did he hide from me?

Was I a possible target?

About a year ago, I (15F at the time) went on a walk around my neighborhood. I live in a relatively safe neighborhood, and had taken walks around the surrounding streets many times beforehand.

It was around 9:00 at night, and I had my headphones on with music playing. Around halfway into my walk (sometime around 9:30) I noticed a greenish-grey car drive down the street. I didn't pay much mind to it, but I noted what it looked like just in case, since it was dark out and I was alone. About 10 minutes later I noticed the same car drive down the street again. At the time, I was around 3 blocks away from my street, and thought it was odd, but decided to give the people in the car the benefit of the doubt.

Then it got weird. Another 10 or so minutes passed, and the car came by again, but stopped halfway down the street. (I was a little more than halfway down the sidewalk, and was 2 blocks away from home.) I noticed the car stopping and freaked out a bit, noting how odd it was. I kept alert, gripping my key to use as a possible weapon if needed and tried to make myself look more masculine. I stood up at my full height, putting my hands in my pockets, and walking with heavier footsteps.

For context, I am 6' 0" tall, but tend to slouch, so I felt that making it noticeable that I was on the taller side might help. I could see the car in my peripheral vision, and saw a man get out of the passenger side and start walking along the sidewalk opposite me, matching my pace, and he kept glancing toward me. He was wearing all black, and looked about 5' 9" or so. I started speeding up, trying to get home faster. He then paused and started to cross the street at an angle, looking at me and slowly walking toward me. I freaked out!

I had forgotten that my friend asked to call me around 10, so I got an incoming call from her. I pressed the button to join the FaceTime she'd started as quick as I could, and as soon as I did, I lifted my phone up and said as loudly as I could "Hey (her name), How are you!" As soon as the words left my mouth the man stopped walking in my direction, and quickly walked back to the car, got in, and drove away. I never saw the car again.

I'm so grateful that my friend called me at that time. I can't even imagine what coddle happened if she didn't. Was I just being paranoid or could I have been a possible target for who knows what?

i spent 3 nights convincing myself i was paranoid about my bedroom window. on the last night, i saw someone trying to get in.

tldr: after three nights of feeling uneasy about my bedroom window, i caught someone reaching through the blinds and slammed it shut. my cousin and her husband told me to pray about it, but i called the police. they searched the area and found nothing. the next morning, i found a handprint on the window.

earlier this week, i decided to take an almost 8 hour road trip to visit my cousin and her fiancé in another state. i’ve been to the state before, but never this particular city, so everything was pretty unfamiliar to me. ironically enough, almost half of my drive consisted of listening to true crime podcasts and let’s not meet stories, which makes this whole experience even more unsettling.

when i got to their house, they showed me the guest bedroom, which also doubled as her fiancé’s home gym. it was on the ground floor, which wasn’t necessarily a problem, but the first thing i noticed was the window. the blinds were partially broken and falling apart, leaving little gaps where someone could easily look inside. even during the day, something about that window made me uncomfortable. their backyard was also pretty open, so technically anyone could walk right up to the house. for context, i’m a black woman, and growing up, my family always emphasized being cautious about our surroundings. i don’t care how safe your neighborhood is, we’re locking every door and window because we’re not trying to become a statistic lol.

my cousin assured me that their neighborhood was extremely safe. in fact, when we started discussing crime in the area, she joked that the worst thing she’d heard of happening nearby was someone stealing a piece of candy from a gas station. so i figured i was probably just being paranoid from listening to so much true crime, and i mistakenly let my guard down.

the first night was pretty uneventful, although i definitely struggled to fall asleep. i wear glasses because my vision is terrible, and as embarrassing as it sounds, i’m still somewhat uncomfortable the dark alone, especially in unfamiliar places. being in a new city, sleeping on the ground floor, and having a window with broken blinds was basically a triple threat for me lol. i kept glancing toward the window thinking, “what if someone walks by?” or “what if someone tries to look inside?” eventually, i fell asleep and everything was fine. the second night was fine too. both nights, i’d left the window slightly open because the house was pretty warm, and the cool evening breeze felt amazing.

by the third and final night, though, something just felt different. her husband and i spent part of the day watching and discussing true crime talking about crazy stories, and i remember thinking that i seriously needed to give myself a break from these stories because i was starting to freak myself out. earlier that day, before we left the house, i actually closed and locked the window, and i remember thinking to myself that if someone ever tried to climb through it, they’d probably knock something over in the cluttered home gym and i’d hear them. again, just random thoughts i was having because i was being hypervigilant.

when we got back that evening, the house was still pretty warm despite the ac running, so i decided to open the window again. i got ready for bed, turned the lights off, and tried to fall asleep, but for whatever reason, i just couldn’t. i tossed and turned for almost three hours, and i felt like i was being watched. i kept thinking about closing the window, but the room was so warm that i convinced myself to leave it alone. at one point, i even considered sleeping with my phone flashlight on because i was so uncomfortable, but then i remembered that with the broken blinds, having any light on would make it even easier for someone outside to see directly into the room.

eventually, i gave up trying to sleep and started doom scrolling. i was on tiktok for a little bit before switching over to amazon to look at halloween costumes. maybe five minutes into scrolling, i heard rustling coming from the bushes directly outside my window. initially, i didn’t think much of it. i figured it was probably the wind or a squirrel moving around. but then i heard it again, except this time it was louder.

i was lying with my back facing the window, and something in me told me to stop what i was doing and actually listen. i put my phone facedown to eliminate any light coming from the screen and just laid there quietly. the rustling continued, except now it sounded like something was moving closer to the window. my heart immediately started racing. i slowly turned around to face it, and although it was dark outside, there was just enough light for me to make out shadows.

that’s when i saw it. the silhouette of a person standing directly outside my bedroom window.

i cannot even begin to explain the feeling that came over me. my heart was literally in my throat. i kept trying to convince myself that my eyes were playing tricks on me, that maybe i was just seeing shadows from the bushes, and that all these scary stories were finally getting to my head. I continued to try to lay perfectly still, and just listen, trying to make out any sounds or movements. but then i heard something that made my stomach drop into my ass.

the blinds started moving.

not the bushes. the actual blinds on the window.
i immediately reached over to grab my glasses, which were sitting on a weight beside the bed. in the process, i was trying to do so very quietly so i could potentially catch this person in the act and get a look at their face. but of course, like in every horror movie ever, i accidentally knocked over my hydro flask, which made a ridiculously loud metallic bang when it hit the weight. at that point, i knew whoever was outside had probably heard me. i quickly threw my glasses on, looked toward the window, and there it was. a HUMAN HAND reaching through the blinds.

i didn’t scream. i didn’t even think. i immediately jumped out of bed and slammed the window shut in hopes to maybe catch their hand. i slammed the window so hard that i actually broke one of my nails off completely. as soon as it closed, i heard someone rustling out of the bushes to run away.

i ran upstairs and started banging on my cousin’s bedroom door, frantically trying to explain what had just happened. they were so deeply asleep that it took them almost five minutes to even answer the door. i was absolutely terrified and refused to go back into that bedroom. i ended up spending the rest of the night in the living room, falling in and out of sleep until around 3 am, just waiting for the sun to come up. part of me wanted to pack my things and leave immediately, but i knew driving several hours in the middle of the night while terrified and exhausted probably wasn’t the smartest idea.

the next morning, while packing up my things, i actually started questioning myself again. i kept thinking, “what if i really was just being paranoid? what if all those podcasts finally got to me and my mind was playing tricks on me?” so i decided to look at the window in daylight, specifically to see what someone standing outside would’ve been able to see if they were looking into the room.

and that’s when i noticed scratches through the dust on the window and a handprint. i genuinely felt sick.

i still have absolutely no idea whether this person was trying to break into the house or if they were some creep trying to watch me sleep. i don’t know how long they were standing there, whether they’d noticed me sleeping in that room the previous nights, or what their intentions were. and honestly, i don’t think i ever want to know.

what really gets me is how many times throughout those three days i had this weird feeling about that exact window. i kept telling myself i was being paranoid, that i needed to stop consuming so much true crime, and that nothing was going to happen because the neighborhood was supposedly so safe. but on the one night i genuinely could not fall asleep, something actually happened.

i’m a VERY deep sleeper. once i’m out, i’m out. had i fallen asleep that night, i genuinely don’t think i would’ve heard anything. and had i not been there at all, who knows what could’ve happened to my cousin and her fiancé? they were sleeping so deeply upstairs that they couldn’t even hear me frantically banging on their door for several minutes. the thought of someone potentially getting inside and moving around downstairs without anyone noticing absolutely terrifies me.

i know some people might think i’m being dramatic, but i genuinely feel like the universe was looking out for me that night. between not being able to sleep, constantly feeling uneasy, and deciding to put my phone down and actually listen to what was happening outside, i feel incredibly lucky. i don’t know whether it was intuition, hypervigilance, or just sheer coincidence, but i’m so grateful i was awake.

and something else i’ve been struggling with is this overwhelming feeling of being violated. it’s honestly such a strange feeling to explain because technically nobody touched me, and i don’t even know if this person actually saw me. but your bedroom is supposed to be the one place where you can completely let your guard down. it’s where you sleep, change your clothes, and exist in your most vulnerable state. the thought of some random person standing inches away from where i was lying, potentially watching me or trying to get inside, makes my skin crawl. i keep replaying the entire situation in my head, especially the moment i saw that hand, and wondering what would’ve happened if i hadn’t been awake to slam the window shut.
needless to say, this was probably one of the scariest things i’ve ever experienced on my own, and i don’t think i’ll ever feel comfortable sleeping with an open ground-floor window again.

and to whoever was standing outside my bedroom window that night, let’s please, PLEASE not meet again.

I escaped a rapist & murderer

This was in the mid-90s and I was about 18/19. In those days, no internet, no cell phones.

I was out of high school and didn't have a car so I would walk everywhere ( good way to stay in shape lol). One evening I was walking home (alone) from being at a friend's house earlier.

A car pulls over and its a very sexy good looking, muscular guy probably in his mid to late 20s. I was a shy girl, plus I had a boyfriend, so I did not flirt - I just noticed he was hot but kept it to myself. He gives me a ride home- so now he knows where I live. We did not exchange numbers, so I had no expectation of seeing him again.

There is a Walmart like 4 blocks from my house & I oftened walked to it a few times a week to shop. A few days or weeks later, I see this guy at the store. This time he introduces himself and we exchange numbers and he asks me out. Im on a break with boyfriend and I think this guy is hot ( even though Im shy) so I agree. He says he remembers where I live, so he will pick me up.

He picks me up to hangout ( or like a 1st date) a few days later. Its pretty uneventful we just went to a park to walk & talk & drink a beer. We kiss but don't heavily make out. But since Im aloof I feel like he kept coming on stronger & stronger- trying to get me to see him again.

That was the era of long phone conversations (on the home landline) since we didn't have texting or personal phones. He would call me all the time ( trying to get a 2nd date) and we would talk a long time. I was kind of disinterested because IDK there was something that felt off or I was distrustful. So I avoided meeting up with him again, but I didn't know how to get him to stop pursing & calling me.

Then he called and said let's go run away to Seattle ( about 4 hours drive away from where we lived). We have to leave now he says. He's packed and ready and wants to pick me up now or by tomorrow morning to go. Leaving me to make an instant decision with no time to think. I said no & he kept persistently begging, saying he has cancer and needs to move up there for treatment ( to live with his brother up there). He insists I go with him, saying im 18 and can make my own decisions. Im not doing anything but living with my parents. I told him thats wild talk because we hardly know each other. He insists he is strongly attached to me ( likes me a lot) and Im the most beautiful woman he has ever seen yada yada. The whole thing is crazy so I firmly say no and tell him Im getting back with my boyfriend and not to call anymore.

I had a part time job at the local jail as the commissary delivery girl. They warned me that cell block D was for serious offenders - rapists & murderers on the way to prision - so be aware of that. I had to wear no makeup and was told to make minimal eye contact & very brief interactions.

A few months go by since the Seattle phone call & guess who I see in cell block D? Yep! I asked the guards what he was in for & they said rape & murder! He comes up to the window and tells me its all a big mistake.

Im shocked but Im glad I dodged a bullet -- something was always off about him but I never consciously knew what. Maybe it was his desperation to get me to run away with him - he was always strong and persistent about getting me to go off with him.

Fast forward like 5 years later. Ive moved out of the area, out of my parents house and am now married with a child ( early 2000s). My parents tell me so & so called for you, so they gave him my new number. He calls me! Tells me he's out- it was all a big mistake and anyway he wants to see me. Saying he always thought about me through all the years. He didn't want to call or write to me because he didn't want my parents to see it was from prison ( I nevertold my parents about him). I tell him I'm married and have a kid now and live 3 states over. That still didn't deter him - he kept droning on & on about how there was something about me that he couldn't forget and he really really wanted us to be together. I told him to never call me again -- and fortunately I never heard from him since.

The whole thing was bizarre! I think I escaped a potential rape & murder. Otherwise I don't know why he was so weirdly and feircly attached to me for years when we only went on 1 date!

Weird man came to door asking "survey questions"

Yesterday this creepy dingy looking man parked in front of my house.

My ring notified me and I walked to the front door and opened it. He immediately starts by saying I would like to ask you some survey questions... Who are you going to vote for in the senate? He was trying to look like he was reading questions from his phone.

But then it dawned on me. He was recording me. I said I don't talk politics and closed the door. As I was closing it, he said to me: I guess I will have to put you down as refused and he said my first name!!

He then went back to his car and left. He didn't go to any other houses. Now I am freaking out. I let my ring subscription lapse because I live in a small town and nothing ever happens here, lesson learned. Well at least he thinks I have a video of him. Guess I will just have to be hyper aware of my surroundings for a while.

I can't tell if someone was following me or it's me.

Okay so i was walking from station. I was inside the tunnel station. Then i see a man he looks at the train board. From there i just knew " yeah something's wrong with him. " I was walking slowly but surely so that I don't look too alarming. I walk. I look behind me i see he walks. I retrieve my phone and he's walking next to me watching me retrieve my phone we make eye contact for like 5 seconds before I look back at my phone. He still looks at me Infront of me while i am watching my phone not paying attention to him. He looks So long i thought he was gonna snatch my phone and run away.

Then he continues walking. A train controller walks by and he's basically arguing with the train controller while the train controller walks? Like he's arguing with himself? Like idk what he was doing honestly.

I call my mom and dad. At first they didn't answer so i was stressing. I see he stops to let a car pass. I stop too but further from him. I was thinking of going another way to my house but i immediately thought that its too isolated and if something happened and he was really following me i would be alone and helpless. So i take the sidewalk across from where he was or else i had to walk next to him.

My dad answers finally. I put him on speaker and talk super loud saying " Hey! I am in [ city]. " Because he was really just standing there looking. Idk if it was my imagination but i felt like he wanted to cross the road but because he heard it he stopped? This really might be my imagination because it was like he wanted to take a step but the moment i talked loud he halted. But it was a nanosecond so i could be overthinking it.

I kept telling my dad " stay on the phone " because he wanted to call my mom to pick me. The problem is idk if he spoke french or dutch so i was hesitant to tell him someone was following me since he could hear so i waited just told my dad. " Stay on the phone. Please don't hang up. " He said okay then i said that someone might be following me he also became alterted. I told him to stay on the phone until i am at school. Because At this point i decided to go to my old school and not home incase he did follow me and wait for my mom.

He stays there for a while waiting and watching while i am on the phone. I walk, i cross and go on the sidewalk he was in since that's where my school was but he wasn't behind me because I look on the street mirror luckily I don't see him i take this sign to walk faster.

I see an old teacher. I warn her saying " there's a weird guy please be careful. " Then she asks if everything is okay if he talked to me i just say what happened she says go to the school. my school where i went to is like 2 minutes from my house. I see him coming i tell here " he's here " we part ways. I walk faster I don't even look behind me. I immediately ring my school. I didn't see him come. I enter my school and wait for my mom. And my mom came.

I am literally shaking because idk if i was imagining it or not?

Creepy Park Encounter

When I was about 13/14 I used to spend summers at my aunt's house while my mom worked. I often road my bike around her neighborhood by myself. One day I wanted to go to a playground that was nearby. I'd been there before with my aunt and knew how to get there. She was making dinner and told me I could go by myself and she'd meet me there in a few minutes when she was done.

So I left and road my bike to the park. Got there easily and parked my bike near the swing set and hopped on a swing and started swinging. The swing set was down a small hill from the parking lot where I'd entered. After a little while I noticed an older man in the parking lot. He was near a picnic table and he saw me too. He started walking down the path towards me and I don't know it just didn't feel right. I got up and jumped on my bike and started riding it away from the man and the parking lot.

This park had a large open field for playing sports and a paved path around it all that looped back to the parking lot. My plan was simple, ride the path around the loop, get back to the parking lot, and leave. As I'm nearing the parking lot from the other side I notice he's turned around and is in the parking lot again, blocking my escape.

At this point I'm freaking out. I turn around and head to the exact opposite side of this large circle so I'm as far from the parking lot as I can be. I sit there and wait. He starts walking towards me again, taking the path. Once I think he's close enough to me from one side, I take off in the opposite direction as fast as I can just trying to make it to the parking lot.

I was a kid and I was scared so I didn't wait very long or let him get very close before I started booking it. He was actually so far away that he made it to the parking lot at about the same time I did even though I was on a bike and I only just barely made it past him. I rode as fast as I could back to my aunt's house but I met her on the road not far from the park.

I think I told her what happened but to me she seemed unconcerned. She suggested still going to the park and I agreed and we went back together. It could only have been a few minutes later that we returned to the park and the man was nowhere to be found.

This still haunts me because if he had no ill intention why did he keep coming for me when it was obvious I wanted nothing to do with him? If he was simply taking a walk around the park and wasn't even trying to talk to me (or worse) why did he keep turning around and blocking my path?

Almost 50 year old NEET incel bodybuilder broke my ankle

This might gonna take a while, but I want to share my story of an acquaintance I made around June/July who ended up breaking my ankle because he can not get a girl since he was 20.

So, I am 27m and currently at university studying so I had a lot of freetime this summer and I live in a small town in western Europe so I decided to go drinking once or twice a week to the local bars. I met all sorts of people but one guy, let's call him Peter (not real name) was not very liked by the other regulars there and I did not get why. I was the only one not being weird to him. He is big, Like 1,80 and visibly trained, he told me he weighs 110 kg once. I also do strength training and am around his size but with a little more body fat at 107kg because I drank regularly back then. We bonded over common interests. He seemed rather normal, so I was confused as to why the others treated him so cold hearted, like they would not say 'go away' or such but turn passive when he attempted to talk to them.

It got to the point where people would come up to me and say things like 'hey we noticed you talk a lot with Peter' or '...do you know him? Do you guys train together?'. I thought it was weird, but whatever. Guy was friendly to me. However, first red flags started to show. I noticed that his relationships to women are rather questionable. When he got drunk he told stories that were so obvius lies, it is kind of insane to believe anyone would ever believe them. According to him (when dunk), he had s.. every week, almost every day, with women in his car for at least 3 hours/session and those women were not normal women but women like russian oligarchs or adult movie stars... I was like, yea right, but whatever. Guy is drunk, it did say dumb stuff when drunk. And probably lonely. Kind of felt bad.

However, once he told me something different. He told me when he was around 40, so almost 10 years ago, was when he fell in love for the last time with a woman. He messed up by obsessing (I learned that he ist very obsessive and compulsive, but we come to that) over her and it got to the point where he stalked her until she caught him almost in front of her house. He told me though he knows it was wrong and dumb. I was like, yea, 10 years ago and he regrets it, still I slowly began to see and dive into his dark side.

I then learned people do not like to be with him because he is obsessive, compulsive and holds grudges... Forever. His nephew took his own life this april and he told me. I did not believe him back then (though I learned it was 100% true down the line). I acted like I believed it though back then. He also told another guy, who told him 'Yea, but if he did not want to live it is none of your business'. He beat this guy up after and got banned from the pub. He to this day stalks the waiter who banned him and flips him off from inside the car when he drives by. Right then and there was a turning point in his behaviour.

He had my number because we watched movies together before at the cinema. I ignored him at first but I knew I would bump into him anyways. I am the only guy that really talked to him regularly, he seemed to like me. He even treated me differently but I was getting tired because the Drama he instigated and he would vent a lot. Especially about girls. I started to realize that this dude was not just a little conservative in his views but full blown redpilled incel when he told me women should not be allowed to work, get tattoos, should know their place and should know that they are ugly once they turn 40. Mind you, he does not even get the idea of different people having different tastes. Like he does not get the concept that their even might be people that like older women because of his 'experience'. Because of his 'experience' he also knows more about psychology than the waitress inside who has a master's degree in psychology btw.

One day around 6 weeks ago i went out with my friends. There were 2 girls with us our age and 3 guys in total. Guess who also was there, Peter of course. We sit down and he comes around, gravitated towards the girls like a fly. He sit with us because 'we were buddies'. At this point I was very weirded out about his life. He told me a lot more concerning stuff on the phone and I got tired of him. But I thought yea whatever. He ignored all the guys at the table for the most part and talked to the girls. Whatever. He actually was normal, no sign of misogynie whatsoever. I warned one of the other guys though. He annoyed the girls so much though that one wrote me a message that he should go away because he was talking non stop. I decided to ask him to go smoke outside to tell him politely to let us alone for tonight.

He did not take it well. He was like 'I am talking to girls for once in a long time and now you gotta ruin it' and something among the lines of that he always wanted to be a father and women and society would not let him. He turned full on enraged and started pushing me, i punched him once after that he pushed me so hard that i fell on my ankle and it completely broke (Weber B fracture with syndesmosis tear). He actually was sorry about it and actually did first aid on me (He was a nurse but neet for a long time) til ambulance arrived while he was also crying. Next day he called me to apologize and cry more, he knows he has anger issues and a lot of his past that explained a lot, but I was like dude... Just leave me tf alone.

So here I am, still in a cast but in 5 days I relearn to walk again. Cannot sleep so I decided to share.

Creepy Dude Stalked my Apartment

I had a note on my apartment door a few years ago, saying maintenance would have to come in the next morning and to leave it unlocked. It had the building logo on it so I almost believed it.

However my neighbor didn't have one so I called the office. They said nobody had booked for maintenance.

They looked at the hallway camera. Some random guy I’d never seen put the note there at 6:12 p.m. Then he sat in the stairwell for almost two hours watching my door.

He had gone about five minutes when I got home.

I’m also on the 4th floor. Super creepy stuff.
